Yeah most of the really intricate meals are done on weekends, but pretty much everything we eat through out the week is made from scratch. The things that help me keep it that way: 1. My daughter(4 years old) has developed a passion for food and cooking and loves to be Daddy's "helper".. so that makes it fun for both of us 2. I do a lot of prep on the weekends to make things easier during the week(pre chop a bunch of onion, prepare a big salad for throughout the week, pre pick herbs so they are inside and ready to be used) But I honestly #1 is the biggest thing for me. It is a bonding time for us.

I grow Basil, rosemary, thyme, oregano, cilantro, and parsley Plus grape tomatoes and hot peppers not counting the regular garden with beans, squash, tomatoes, etc

Extremely strong lofts on each club

Yes your mind is playing tricks on you. I have the same problem, but have learned to trust my alignment from behind the ball.

The biggest thing for me has been choking down on my driver. It takes some of the length out of it and I strike the ball much more consistently. My fear was losing distance but finding the center(or closer to the center) of the club face more consistently has actually fixed that issue and has kept my average distance consistent but greatly increased my accuracy. I will no longer get the 300 yard bomb when I would catch it just right once every 8 rounds, but I also have yet to hit the 40 yard slice(every round)

Shot my best 9 in 2 years... Par 37 and I shot a +1, 38 Hole #1- Par 5 Hit my best drive of the day dead down the middle. 3 hybrid to 10 yards short of the green. Chipped to 6 feet and made the birdie Hole #2- Par 4 Another good drive, just leaked right and in to the rough. 2nd shot was center of the green leaving me a 25 footer for birdie. Missed on the low side and tapped in for par Hole #3- Par 5 Another good drive on the left side of the fairway. My 2nd shot I swung out of my shoes and pushed way right into a waste bunker. Hit that thin off the back of the green. Chipped on and 2 putted for bogey Hole #4- Par 4 this is a reachable par 4, i put my drive in the bunker in front of the green. Out of the sand to 12 feet, missed the birdie, tap in par Hole #5- Par 3 - 147yards 9 iron to a back pin that i pulled left and put on the fringe. Missed the birdie tap in par Hole #6- Par 4 right side is all lake, so I aimed left and stayed left. 2nd shot was a little long to the back fringe, 2 putt par Hole #7- Par 3 180yards Hit my only really bad shot of the day. Dumped it in to the lake on the right. Went to the drop area and stuck it to 18 inches and tapped in for bogey Hole #8- Par 5 Good drive, put my 2nd in the bunker in front of the green. Bad shot out left me on the fringe, missed the birdie putt and made the come backer for par Hole #9- Par 4 Over cut the drive in to the right rough. Played an 8 iron that went long left. Chipped to 2 feet and tapped in for par My secret? Choked up on my driver and drove the best I have all season and didn't lose distance at all

20+ handicappers hitting 300 yards (mild rant)

This needs more love. Unless people are gps verifying(still not 100% accurate) then most likely there way of measuring is off, sometimes by considerable amounts. The other problem is people just don't realize how far 300 yards is. I am the longest hitter in my group and the others would say oh man that is 300 yards and I would just laugh at them. I started using the gps to track the distance and most were 270-280 and those were bombs that happen very rarely. It opened their eyes to just how far 300 yards truly is -
So frustrated with my swing right now

The worst round score was a 55(9 holes at league). It wasn't just the score that made it bad, it just felt like not a single shot was struck pure The improved round(getting my swing back) with my daughter with me was a 41(9 holes). Since then my iron play is very good but my driver is still inconsistent but much better than it was -
Whats your Shot from 60-90 Yards?
jlh1508 replied to Jakester23's topic in Instruction and Playing Tips
It is generally a choked down sand wedge or gap wedge and the swing length varies based on the distance. -
Does it bother me? Not at all. Do I think it is creative, intelligent, or necessary? No not at all. But does that mean these people should be kicked out? No, they are not hurting anyone, they are not breaking any rules. They paid money to enjoy the event and if that is how they get enjoyment then more power to them. Its not during the swing, so I am not sure what the issue would be

It all came back today and the solution was not thinking. thanks to daycare being closed I took my daughter out on the course with me. I stopped over thinking, I stopped worrying about score and just hit the ball and my swing returned. -
So you make 90-100 6 foot putts in a row before you go home every single day?
-
It will never fail to amaze me how many people don't understand the rules to these

Again thanks for taking the time to write all this. I am trying really hard to work on not getting the club to far inside. Lots of slow swing working on it but whenever I go to a full speed swing I revert back to old habits. Got to keep working on it over and over I also just noticed today the part about a one plane swing and rotating the hips to soon in the take away. I think you are on to something there and its another piece I will have to try to implement.

First and foremost thanks to both of you for taking the time to respond I am not sure what you mean by the bolded part, could you walk me through it some more? Thank you for taking the time to write all this. I will work on that drill and see if it helps.

I've been Playing Golf for: 6 years My current handicap index or average score is: 95-100, was 82-88 up until 7-8 weeks ago My typical ball flight is: Was straight but is now a pull slice or straight slice The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: Slice I had worked really hard on my swing 3 years ago and started hitting the ball very straight. I was playing low 80's golf and shot high 70's 3 times. But over the last 6-8 weeks my swing has fallen apart. I have developed a nasty over the top move which has brought a nasty slice. At this point I can't find anything that has helped fix it so I am reaching out to all of you Sorry for the video quality, it is all I have for now. These videos are in the yard hitting wiffle balls, I will try to add some videos from the range in the coming days Videos:

It just gets worse and worse. Just shot the worst round I have shot in 4 years. Couldn't hit a single club, not a single shot I would deem good -

That is the problem. That is exactly what I was working on. Did a bunch of 9 to 3 swings with irons working it out and hit great irons. Then tried to do the same with woods and driver and its like an entirely different person is swinging. I feel like at this point it is all mental -

I know that is what I need to do, problem is that I have no idea how to make that happen. Every swing thought or feel I have used int he past is not working this time Spent an 1 1/2 hours at the range last night hitting 60 balls. 35 fantastic wedge and iron shots. Then I pulled out the 5 wood and driver, top, top, shank, top, slice, top, slice, slice - felt like I couldn't even make contact with the ball and when I did it was bending 40 yards right. At this point I am ready to quit the game, its not fun anymore
