  1. i play full cord as well and found using something like power grip liquid chalk helps during the hot, humid summer rounds.
  2. I played Riverton CC a couple of weeks ago and am strongly leaning towards the private club option. I'll check out Woodcrest. Thanks.
  3. When I viewed the segment I take it that as he's talking about those that advocate the putting stroke for chipping. Holding the hinge as your turn through the shot is not the same thing IMHO. _vf
  4. I recently moved to the Rittenhouse area of Philly and have an office in Moorestown NJ. I moved from out west where I lived 5 minutes from my last home course which made it easy for a quick 9 or some range work after a long day at work! I am looking for a decent place to practice and/or play a couple of times a week after work and on weekends. A few people have mentioned Willow Brook and also Laurel Creek. Someone also mentioned heading the other direction and looking north at places like Spring Mill in Warminster. Seems a bit out of the way. I'd rather stay close to work to reduce driving time. Any feedback or suggestions for a city-bound philly golfer?
  5. I voted with my heart...I love mizzy irons. I would love to try both but that said either would have to be a hell of an iron to knock out my MP-32s. :)
  6. ...or Mizuno.
  7. Because for most people the eye is a notoriously inaccurate judge of distance.
  8. I'm sorry but I don't have a caddie walking the course for me and marking every yardage, hazards and green slopes for me. It's about information not technology. The technology enables the information to play better and have more fun. I'll keep my rangefinder and GPS rather than walking around aimlessly until I find a sprinkler head then walk it off.
  9. Can't add anything to this except +1 and I use it on a clicgear 2.0.
  10. Last friday...decent fw % and iron play leading to fair amount of GIR. Absolutely horrible short game. None...zip...zilch. What to do about it I guess depends on what part of the game went south. I immediately took a lesson to bounce some thoughts off my coach and since then I've gotten to a practice facility with only a wedge and practiced from 100 yds and in over and over and over.
  11. Nice! So glad to find out i'm not the only one. I played yesterday and everyone was telling me the grips were too big but my game is telling me otherwise. I like how easy it is to hold the club with less tension rather then always holding on too tight with std grips.
  12. anyone with M/L hands playing jumbo grips? I got a used set of MP-32's and they came with jumbo grips. I have noticed that my shot dispersion is MUCH tighter, I'm hitting a nice predictable cut shot and it's real hard to turn the ball over for a draw. In my case that's not a bad thing as my 'miss' is usually a hook due to an OTT move. The jumbo grips seem to be straightening that out a bit. I just wonder if covering up a swing flaw with grips will do me more harm than good in the long run.
  13. short game? but more likely...exaggerating a bit? Probably both? ;)
