No where near as much as i'd like. With a busy college schedule i've only got to play 3 times this year, but im trying to find a way to to play at least once a week. Once summer hits I'll probably play 2 or 3 times a week and be on a range every day. Once i sharpen up my wedges and irons I feel like I have the potential to go REALLY low this year

Saw the big guy at the course yesterday, and told him I was sorry for hitting into him and explained to him my train of thought at the time. He told me no worries and even suggested i play in his group next time they are playing in their money game, so i guess all's well that ends well.

Guess all athletes should be white and have johnny unites haircuts too right?

Phil seems to usually play well no matter what form hes in going in

Not even sure I have a favorite but they're a ton I like. I like Rickie Fowler because he seems to go to the beat of his own drum, doesn't care about all the people who bag on him for the way he dresses, and is very interactive with his fan base, seems like a genuinely good guy. I like Dustin Johnson because he's an actual athlete (can make a full swing on a balance ball, and can dunk a basketball pretty damn good as well) Nick Watney is another guy I like, read somewhere that he had Butch Harmon blasting rap music during one of his golf lessons. Also a huge fan of John Daly, and have a ton of respect for Tiger and Phil as well.

Thanks for the help guys! shot an even par 70 today on aerated greens, had 3 birds and 3 bogeys. Getting behind each shot and studying it really helped my game, probably one of the most consistent rounds i've had. I feel like I would have done really well today if I would have had been putting on smooth greens, and If i would have had time to go to the range first (bogeyed one of the easiest holes because i chunked my first iron shot of the day)

I love to just do situps till failure on a decline bench, another good one is get an tricep rope and attach it to the bottom of a cable machine and do weighted situps on an exercise ball.

Not a fan of Bradley either, he just seems downright strange and awkward to me. The way he reads putts is almost disturbing to me. Spitting doesn't bother me, he's a man and he's outdoors, I give him a pass on that as long as it's not on a green. I'm not a big fan of Rory either, something about him just rubs me the wrong way, seems like a douche to me, but I've never met him so it's hard to say for sure.

I agree that mustache had to go but you really hate someone cause of a flat billed hat?

Im about 6'4 205lbs of muscle, and I used to take boxing and mma lessons, so I'm not scared off too many golfers, (although i did hit into the one guy on the course that probably would beat my ass so i get your point) but it wasn't so much I was in a hurry as the principle of it. If you have someone behind you litterally every shot you hit for six holes, it can't be enjoyable for you, and it surely isn't fun for the group stuck behind. I was just fed up with it because it wasn't the first time, (or second, third, fourth, etc) and I know many others who have complained about the slow play too. Like I said I realize this wasn't the smartest way to go about things but it's not like I did it for no reason either
-
For me personally I HAVE to swing it like a wood, If i swing it like an iron I duck hook the hell out of it, no idea why, might just have something to do with the way my particular hybrid is made
-
I would gladly take either one!
-
Oh they knew we were right on their ass the whole time. I practically had to wait every single shot for 6 holes, and the thing is NOBODY was in front of them, it was really pissing me off it was almost like they were to good to let us play through.

Brag? the only think i'm bragging about in this thread is the girl from the snackbar. I admit it was an immature and dumb thing to do, but really if you're going to make these statements about me without knowing me and/or giving any kind of elaboration on why you feel the way you do, how much better of a individual are you than me. I guess you're one of those people who have never made any mistakes in your life? I did not have the intention of hurting anyone as stated from the beggining, I never thought I'd be able to reach them on the fly, I simply wanted to get them moving along, and get the point across that they're are other people playing the course too, and I now realize that was a very poor way of getting my point across.
-
Lol i got something from the snack bar one time and she said you need anything else with that and I said yeah, your number. (my uncle's home course 30 miles north of my hometown so I figured i had nothing to lose if i got shot down) luckily she smiled and gave me her number, we started texting, and hung out a lot over last summer, and well we got pretty well acquainted

Don't let Brent Musburger see that pic...

lol at the time I didn't feel bad at all. I was actually happy that I had done exactly what I wanted to, and sent my message without hurting anyone. But i realize hitting into someone is not the way to go about things as well. I know that they were playing for money, and that is why they were playing slower, but these guys act like they own the damn course and it was honestly many rounds of pent up anger being stuck behind them, and them not letting anyone play through. From the hole I hit my drive on you can see the entire 15th hole and the teebox on number 16, and there was no one on either hole.
-
Oh i've already gotten to know one of the ladies quite well
-
Goodluck on your season man, I had my senior season last year, and that along with senior year was one of the funnest times of my life. But yeah I've had similar experiences with old guys beating my brains in from 50 yards and in but this guy was something else. I talked to a few guys around the club about them and they said if he went a round without holing a chip or pitch it was a bad day for him
-
Sadly it is a country club in a very small town so there is no ranger, and there is only one guy who works in the clubhouse (and two cuties in the snack bar ) but I know the guy pretty well in the clubhouse and I highly doubt he would do anything. I'd be much better off confronting him myself which is probably what i'll do next time
-
Haha man when I get mad, I don't exactly think things through. When I got up to the green I was almost as pissed as he was. Not going to lie I was a little concerned with how exactly he was going to react.
-
Yeah, I definitely didn't want to hurt anyone. Just trying to get them to hurry the hell up, or let us play through. These group of guys just act like they run the course and have no respect for anyone else trying to play a round in a timely manner. Next time, i'll clear my head or just plain ask them If i can play through if they're gonna play so slow.
-
Man if you hit one 340 to the back of the green uphill you shouldn't apologize! Especially if it was an accident. The guy who was was mad at me was notorious for having a bad temper, and is known to throw clubs, and break them. I thought he wanted to kill me lol but appearently he was saying in the clubhouse he thought he was the only one at the course that could reach that green, and didn't seem to mad about me hitting into them after he calmed down.
