  1. If your playing 4 wedges in your bag, I dont think you need to bend them, IMHO.. If you didnt have a gap wedge, then maybe a consideration of bending your sand to 54 and lob to 58.. btw, I have the exact same wedges and lofts as you do.
  2. Yeah Im sending my soon. I've read all your swing articles. Good stuff!
  3. not to mention coming back to the scene where she lost a chance to win 100K.
  4. I've read enough on here to decide I'm going to pick this up and give it a try. Naturally, I'll report the results. I don't think I have a bad tempo, but it could definitely be improved. and in my case, I think my single-biggest problem with golf is that I do instill far too many swing thoughts in my head, and at times that makes me play terrible.
  5. I didn't have any problem with her fist pump at all. . She didnt over-exaggerate it and it wasn't directed towards Derek. With her knowing she was the underdog, it was IMO simply a thing she did at the time to convince herself she belonged in the finale and she could play with him. I haven't seen any comments about this, but in my opinion, the biggest reason Blair lost was because she went 0-for-3 in getting up and down from bunkers; something that she was superb at leading up the finals. And none of the bunker shots were particularly hard (as compared to what they could be, and especially for a pro) If she gets up and down even the first two times, maybe Derek isn't in cruise mode and feels more pressure and hits a bad shot. Not dissing Derek, he deserved to win. Just saying.
  6. And can you take your wedges to your local golf shop for "grinding" and if yes, what specifically should that do for your wedges. Thanks!
  7. If I were to get my 56 degree bent to 54.. would that in essence change the bounce angle from 10 to 12? Same with my 60.. get it bent to 58 would it change the bounce from 6 to 8? Or would it be the other way around and make the bounce even lower on each?
  8. dang... I think I got too little of a bounce (for me) with the 6 for a lob and 10 for a sand.
  9. I recently bought a pair of Nike Victory Red wedges (56 and 60). I thought I’d be better off with a lower bounce angle on them than my previous old Mizuno wedges, but boy was I wrong (for me at least) I got a 60 degree with a 6 bounce and a 56/10 I’ve been hitting them for a few weeks now, and I can’t begin to explain the difference. I club just seems to slide under my ball FAR too easily, and I am losing significant distance on both of them, especially the sand wedge. Im also not hitting them as consistent as my old ones (and I’ve been practicing with them daily) My question is this. I know you can take a club to your local golf shop and they can adjust the loft, but can you have the bounce angle adjusted as well? Or am I stuck with them “as is’? I’m hoping to get my lob wedge to 8 or even 10 bounce, and my sand wedge 12 to even 14. Is there anything I can do? Or am I gonna have to trade them in, bite the bullet and buy new wedges again with a higher bounce?
  10. I just recently bought the 5900 SQ Sumo, and had a different shaft put on it (cant remember off hand). I'm still getting used to it, but each round I seem to be getting a little more consistent. I wouldnt say the driver is longer than other drivers I've played or tested (including the Dymo), but the ball does seem to go straighter a little easier. But one thing I've learned with all my clubs (I upgraded from crappy clubs to very good ones recently after saving for a long time for them), is that if you make a bad swing your going to get a bad result, I dont care what kind of driver, iron or wedge you hit. IF, I had to do it all over again, I probably would've paid the extra money and bought the DYmo St8-Fit. The large square face (at least right now) has me overthinking a little bit, and possibly even overconfident that I dont focus on making a great swing. But the 5900 Sumo was less than half the price. Hopefully I"ll continue to get longer and more consistent with it.
  11. its nice to see him play a good round today for sure.
  12. Perhaps I used poor wording. My question is, do you feel the Dymo SQ is worth twice as much ($300) as the Nike 5900 SUMO 2 ($159)?
  13. I just bought a box of them last night, looking forward to playing them tomorrow.
  14. Greetings. Long time reader of this message board (love it) but have just begun posting. I have a driver for question for anybody who plays Nike Drivers and/or has demo’d them. I’m going to buy a Nike Driver over the next couple of days. I’m deciding between the Dymo SQ and the SUMO 5900 SQ. Obviously, being newer the Dymo is selling for $299, while the SUMO is older and selling for only $149 at this time. My question for people who have played them is there any real noticeable differences between the two (aside from the appearance). I’ve decided to make a big investment in my clubs (just purchased the Nike Victory Red Split Forged Irons)---- but I want to know if the DYMO is really worth twice the price of the SUMO, aside from being a better looking driver. I read the review for the SUMO here and it was given a great review. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks !
  15. Pepsi has a golf tour?
