yeah, after playing in high school with steel spikes and then being away from a golf store from college and law school I was surprised to find that it's hard to even buy steel spikes in a store!

I've had this problem myself and almost clipped my playing partner. I haven't done it since, but it's in the back of my head now that it's a possibility.

Anyone know why? Just seems like another pebble to add to the growing pile of her emotional immaturity... eh, that's a bit haste, golfers fire caddies all the time. Just my first impression though.

Thanks for everyone's comments. Just got back from the lesson and am back at work. Definetely worth my $45 bucks and I look forward to taking the pointers to the range and getting my work in. It's amazing how she was able to tell me what I was doing wrong everytime. Much as I suspected, I was doing something differently each time! What I didn't expect was that at my normal setup I addressed the ball with a slightly closed clubface. It'd help to explain my pulls.

After playing on and off since I was 15 (12 years ago), I've scheudled my first golf lesson for tomorrow. Not sure what to expect. I signed up for the lesson so the pro can help me with (what else) consistency. Anyone have any ideas on how to get the most out of my lesson or what I should expect?

As the temps have climbed into the triple digits here in Richmond, I was wondering where everyone kept their sticks. Personally, I usually keep my bag in the trunk along with a change of clothes and my shoes so I can seize the oppurtunity as needed. Am I doing damage to my clubs by keeping them in the heat for such a prolonged period of time?

New member here, I've been lurking for a few days, and this looks like a good place to be. Just coming back to the game after a long layoff (undergrad and law school) and I've finally got a little bit of a time to work on my game a bit. Enjoying it again, and after shooting the best 9 holes of the year today (39) I'm feeling pumped. Nice to meet everyone and if there are Richmond, VA folks, I'm always looking for someone to play with.
