  1. You find me a set of forged Mizunos for under $300 shipped and I'll kiss you. It's something that I've aspired to for a long time and finally feeling like I have a halfway consistent game so I can actually make some use out of them...
  2. http://www.gamegolf.com/player/shanneken/round/1067995 (Personal best through 9!) https://www.gamegolf.com/player/shanneken/round/1068607 Not a bad second round, and much better than I was expecting for the course. My distance putting felt off but this course (first time playing it in years) has a lot firmer greens than I'm used to putting on. I had the lines right, but I wound up putting my putts farther past the hole than I am used to and seemed to throw away a lot of shots because of that. Overall my driver was behaving much better, had to work on getting my weight farther forward every swing. It was after I received LSW this last week and reading through that when I saw the chart of what handicaps do well with how many of the 5SK are mastered and I knew where I was handicap-wise so I went back to the basics and I was hitting it so much better throughout the round than I had before. Slowly getting closer to my overall goal of being a single digit handicapper...
  3. I'm honestly surprised I'm as "good" as I am with how little I get out. The last time on the range for me was in April for a 5-10 minute warmup before the first round of the year. Before that? Two years at least. Before every round I typically spend 20-30 minutes on the practice green but otherwise I don't get out and never get a chance to work on my full swing outside of just practice rounds on the course. I'm sure not a lot of instruction would take me to where I want to be, I need to stop telling myself that not having a chance to work on my game during the week will negate whatever I had practiced on the weekends.
  4. Tough par 4 hole on my local Muni course, my drive I hit well and down the center. Unfortunately, with my particular length if I'm in the fairway I hit off of a pretty decent downslope and sometimes I over compensate for hitting like that. This time I was left of the green by 15 yards but pin high with not a lot of green to work with. I've been working on my pitch shot lately so I grabbed my 60* wedge and hit it up right where I was aiming and the ball kept tracking to the bottom of the cup for my first ever birdie on that hole. Was pretty stoked that everything came together in my short game, at least for one shot...
  5. After reading this thread I took a look as I was running low on my balls (mostly prefer Titleist NXTs) so I placed an order last Thursday for their Tour line of balls and received them yesterday. Was really impressed with the time for delivery, and the quality of the ball in general. Felt better and I think I got more spin off of the club than with the NXTs I've been playing. I can't see myself going back to a name brand ball with these guys out there still producing quality equipment.
