  1. Of these three, the mp-62 is for the better player. Honestly, if you are a 36.... all of these are too much club for you. Here is a link to Mizuno Europe and it charts out which clubs are made for what type of player. http://golf.mizunoeurope.com/irons/
  2. I played around with this today as I already have a set of MP-52s and wanted to see how it compared. Sure enough, I was fit once again for the shaft that I have been playing for the past year. What was cool was I could try my shaft on some different heads. I liked the 58s, 62s and was drooling over the 68s ( but I 'm not good enough to game them...yet!). It was nice to know that the clubs I have have a many more rounds in them.
  3. I would try to take this as a learning experience. It appears that you can be distracted while playing and this is never a good thing. Next time something like this happens, try to block it out, find the zone and play your game. Not as easy as it seems by any means. I love to take my 2 boys out golfing with me as they are well behaved for the most part, but, they are a constant distraction for a number of different reasons. I use this as a practice round to work on my focus when I address the ball. If you can hit a good shot while one little kid is killing another... thats focus!
  4. I have a good buddy that I play with all the time. On this one hole, he is ALWAYS right of the fairway in nearly the same spot every time. He made the comment once that he had a mailbox put in at that spot. Now every time we play, I remind him to check his mail. Also, sometimes when either of us has a bad day putting, we call it a Ray Charles day on the greens.
  5. I would highly recommend Scratch Golf wedges. I just got a pair 2 weeks ago and they are fantastic. http://scratchgolf.com/
  6. I have a good buddy that I play golf with all the time. When we started out together two years ago, we were both 19 handicaps. Now I am right at a 10 and he is an 18. He takes lessons all the time and will fix one thing and ruin another.... better swing worse tempo for example. I try to encourage him on his good shots and stay quiet on the bad ones. At the end of the round, I'll tell him where I saw glimpses of glory and that he should focus on those shots for the next round. Saying that he will never get any better is not only wrong, its just mean. He is always apologizing for holding me back. Honestly, his game has no effect on mine and I still enjoy a round with him.
  7. I started playing mp-52's this season and at first I was diligent about keeping them as clean as possible. Now after who knows how many range sessions and rounds, guess what? They look worn and used....like they're supposed to!!!! I clean them with a wet towel after each shot and at the end of the round. They look like they've seen some action and I like them even more now than when they were new and shiny. You can't be afraid to use a tool for which it was designed. A little TLC is all they need.
  8. I worked as a photographer's assistant in the early 90's in Atlanta. One time we had a shoot during the Playoffs with Tom Glavine. We were in one of the locker rooms at Fulton County Stadium and getting the job done. Then, there was a knock on the door and Smoltz walks in all excited trying to get Glavine out of there to meet someone. Instead, of getting up and leaving, Glavine says bring him in. 2 mins later, Payne Stewart walks in!! So, I'm standing in the room with Glavine, Smoltz and Stewart!! All 3 were great and I got several autographs. Best day of work ever.
