  2. Just an update on how my bags shaping up. Bag: Ogio tyro cart bag Driver: Nike SQ sumo, the rounded one not the square Fairway wood: Tour Edge Exotics Trilogy 16.5* 4w Hybrids/Irons: tour edge 19* 3h Adams a7os 4h,5h, 6-PW,GW Still looking for a sw, thinking a 56* higher bounce will be the ticket for me Putter: using my dads old mizuno 0704 blade putter, may upgrade though
  3. Hey guys so have been looking into different options for a few lessons and seems in have 2 viable options, lessons with a pro at one of the local courses, or lessons in store a pgasuperstore or golf galaxy. My question is one necessarily better than the other? At the range I feel would be beneficial due to being able to see the complete ball flight. But in the store seems effective by being able to video my swing and review in slow mo, any thoughts?
  4. Been hitting the range every couple of days and the gold bears are anything but easy to hit, just doesn't feel comfortable. Granted my swing is far from consistent, but I'm excited to try out the new Adams set I have coming this week.
  5. The SW i have is am older one that's pretty well beat up and is 60*. I'll keep an eye out for a newer one and make that my next addition, thanks!
  6. Or even possibly just going with a 4w.
  7. OK going to be bothersome again, sorry! With what I've purchased so far this is what I have: Adams A7os irons 4h, 5h, 6-pw, gw Nike SQ sumo driver 460, 10.5 r flex 44" I have my dads older mizuno blade putter which I'm not very great with but it feels pretty good so I think that's more personal error than anything so I'll probably use that for now. I know I don't need a full 14 club set to play but what should I maybe keep an eye out for to add? I also have an old sw from my dads clubs I may carry just to have it. Should I look at maybe some fairway woods or just use play what I have and fill in the gaps as I find what's missing that would help me?
  8. I'll definitely look into the ping's if the Adams don't work out for me for whatever reason. Also managed to get a Nike SQ Sumo driver on eBay for $35 shipped so I'm pretty happy about that, it's been shortened to 44" so I'm not sure how much that will affect me, the burner I was using was 45" but we'll see.
  9. Well ended up picking up a set of Adams A7os 4h, 5h, 6-PW, GW for $140 shipped. A little more than I was planning on spending on an iron set but since it has two 4h, 5h, and GW it kind of sweetened the deal for me, I doubt the GW will be critical for me for now but the hybrids will definitely help out. They're regular flex graphite shafts. Appear to be in pretty solid shape so I'm happy. Now I just need to get a new bag and some woods and get out there!
  10. Thanks for the advice guys I really appreciate it! Went to the range yesterday with some buddies to hit some balls and hit a set of old Cleveland ta5's and a set of older Adams idea irons and both felt pretty good. My swing still isn't where it needs to be consistently but when I did have a good feeling swing it felt great and the ball went where I wanted it to. Looking around it seems the ta5's are pretty old clubs but can be had very reasonable used (around $70) and the Adams in a similar price range for the older ones. Any thoughts on quality of these clubs?
  11. Anyone in the area played out at Orange County National?
  12. Looks like their the old gold near clubs that are mediocre at best and not worth much, oh well the search continues.
  13. Trying to upload pics sorry, see if this works.
  14. Actually just left my dads house and he had a bunch of extra clubs he said I could have, found this set of irons 2-9, the look old and pretty well worn and not forgiving at all but anyone know about these? If nothing else maybe worth trading in totwatds a different set? 15. Oh trust me plenty of trash talking is done but it's all in good fun, and I think having good company is one of the reasons I like it so much! I think I'll go try a few sets of irons at some local shops and get a feel for what works best for me then try and source an inexpensive used set. Really appreciate all the help guys I'll keep ya posted.
