  2. Actually my apologies i never updated my handicap! I started off last season on 22 i finished at 15! Thanks for the compliment! Yes i have a problem being stiff as a board need to loosen up!
  3. Hey guys just wondering if you can tell from thus video of im one or two plane, i used to be quite upright but ive developed a flatter turn but im mot sure if it qualifies as 1 plane Im asking as i want to know how to practice my transition based on my swing type, thanks!
  4. Im 34 and started playing golf 14 months ago, I have played almost 2 rounds let week since then and got down to 14 handicap. I was fitted to Callaway steelhead xrs with xp95 s300 shafts last year, my swing speed was 82mph €7i carry of 160. Last week I went to try some new forged clubs and the fitter in the store said I need to look at the shaft because my swing speed is 93mph with 7i and my carry is 182yrds. He asked what my mises are and I said they are mainly to the left and he said that's the shaft is too soft. I didn't get a chance to go back for a proper fitting, as the fitting centre is a 4 he drive away I bought an old set of forged Cobras s3 pros with dgs300s and while they feel smoother to swing I still miss left and ballon my short irons. What shaft would suit my speed and swing (I'm a fast swinger with a very fast transition) Amt x100 or project x 5.5 maybe? Also I hit my driver 260yrds avg with a 60g ping tour stiff flex with my misses straight pulls
  5. Thanks to all those who advised me on how to take vids properly I hope these are ok. As i said before in 15 hcp but my iron play has dipped the last month, I get good contact but most of my misses are hooks with short irons and pushes with long irons . driver is a big pull hook. Any advice or critique good or bad I'll take! Go easy I'm only playing a year!
  6. I have a massive anterior pelvic tilt or S posture, when I try swing in a balanced position i thin the ball, and i feel like my back is super rounded butt I find it hard to turn Into my left side with my s posture, anyone suffer from this too and is it detrimental to your game? funnily enough when I do the right leg back drill my hips automatically set properly. also should the abdominals be engaged in the golf swing?
  7. thanks mate!
  8. I've been Playing Golf for: 12 months My current handicap index 15 average score is: 89 My typical ball flight is: low fade with driver, straight to hook with short irons The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: hook with irons, pull/slice with driver Hi guys, I'm quite a long hitter it's just my accuracy is off, my average distance with 7 iron is 172 and driver 254yrds. i suffer from heel hits with driver and pulls. Then bad fades(not banana balls but a small slice) I've good contact with my irons but they always go left of the green. Mum fitted to my clubs 2' upright but my divots are still slighty toe down. Here's my 7 iron face on
  9. Went from hitting my personal best 91 last week, losing the monthly stroke comp only because I quad bogeyed the last hole, a triple bogey would see me finish 68 net (I'm 22 hcp) and win outright. I finished tied second and had 1.8 knocked off my hcp This week I learned to loosen my wrists and compress the ball better, first time I ever managed to consistently hit yardages. Practiced this new technique at the range Thursday, smashing the balls. Played 4 holes last night, again hitting them flush. Today at stroke play I could not swing to save my life, fat shots every where, lost confidence in my dispertion, only good thing was my driving and hybrid. I could not hit an iron at all. Finished 54 on front 9 and 52 on back Felt embarrassed as all the guys in the club were only talking about my great round last week Is this level of fluctuation to be expected? I was hitting the ball so well midweek Very disheartened ?
  10. I ask because my pro says to just work with the path i have at the moment and open the face relative to path to hit a fade, but im fairly sure i want to learn to have my path more in to out as a fade from.out to in isnt really a fade is it? a fade has to be in to out with the stance open to create the path no? im only playing 7 months but ive aspirations to get to single digits in 5 years so i want to learn appropriate swing path not one that will help me in the short term
  11. ive just to the understanding that club path is The angle the club meets the ball at IMPACT not your swing plane. i play my ball for iron shots quite far forward in my stance, and my club path is -8 on average, if i was to move the ball back in my stance to where its just favouring left of centre, and opened the face accordingly, will this create a less negative club path and a straighter shot without he need to alter my plane? does club path necesaraly mean an out to in plane? i do notice when i play the ball back out of lack of focus i hook the ball, perhaps due to closed face when normally battling a slice? My 7i stance
  12. Hi Guys i took on your advice and truly if i thought about it i would be happier long term with the driver, i took my burner along to the golf store and tried a used big bertha v series/815alpha and a Ping G30, for €180 each, my god the G30 was like a dream! ive never drawn a driver until today! i was sold!! gps can wait!
  13. Ive €150 to spend on some gear, and im stuck between a new callaway v-series driver or a gsrmin s3 gps watch, ive recently been fitted to stiff shaft irons, but my driver is a ridiculously long 46.5in and floppy burner super fast regular shaft. id love the gps watch as this one also lets me calculate shot distance as well as marker distances. but id like the stiff callaway driver to finish my set. this is my last purchase for a while what would you pick/find most value in? do the watches add that much to your game because ive hear of guys giving up on them because they hate wearing a watch swinging. any thoughts?
  14. Ive a strong grip, so naturally my left wrist is quite cupped at address. i find it difficult to flatten my wrist at top of backswing and when i get tired during a round i tend to severely cup my wrist at top of bs and flip the club at impact. ive found if i point my left elbow at my left hip it helps a natural feeling of flattening the wrist, but do you intentionally flatten your wrist during the takeaway or let it come naturally on downswing, because i cant seem to do it unless i really intentionally twist during backswing.
