  1. +1- The chunky soles are a total turn off, and the thick toplines look like 2x4's at address. I bought a set of X-18's, great irons, but the chunkiness look couldn't be overcome. Go with what YOU like, considering you're the one that is going to be using them.
  2. Good buy! I bought 2 dozen One Platinum practice balls off Ebay, who cares if it says "practice", its just easier to distinguish your ball from everyone elses
  3. 2 dozen Nike One Tour's. Golf Galaxy had a 2 for $59 special on the One balls and I had a $10 off coupon; figured I'd give them a try, I like the One Platinums so maybe the Tour's are comparable
  4. Craig Stadler has a slight forward press to get things moving; just watched the episode of Playing tips from the pros where he was featured. It does help to relax the muscles, instead of being rigid and tense at address.
  5. Just the look on Pitt's face trying to say "arrivederci" was priceless......Avy-ver-der-chi
  6. My addiction has gotten so bad that if I even mention golf, my girlfriend will probably beat me with my driver.
  7. For those who saw it: Did any of you want to shout "Yeah baby" during the scene with Mike Myers? All I could think of was Austin Powers lol
  8. You are now in the hands of the SS (raises hands). My hands, to be exact! That's a bingo!
  9. We ain't in the prisoner takin bidness, we in the Nazi killin bidness, and cousin, bidness is a boomin I saw it last night and want to see it again
  10. It's the sound that makes you all warm and fuzzy inside. I think of aerial fireworks going off when I hear it, which makes me think of our short summer up here
  11. Land mines....Ball hits a land mine and is counted as a lost ball and/or o.b. penalty
  12. I'm in Syracuse and can't believe how terrible summer has been, but I shouldn't be so surprised I guess. I've played in the rain, been rained on after teeing off and what not; I'm really sick of it, but I'm afraid of what winter is gonna bring us. The weather has made it interesting, especially the "water hazards" that appear then are gone the next day.
  13. Its a 4-wood, but the head of my SQ Dymo is tiny also. An old Ping Eye2 7-wood I have in the garage has a bigger head, at least twice the size, and its a persimmon head.
  14. I like my Sumo2 square driver. Eventhough it looks like a waffle maker on a stick, it launches the ball high and long for me. I probably won't buy another driver for a while, its cool to be square(at least for me). I'd keep using your ginormous driver until your game develops further. After it improves, I'd look around for a decent driver; nothing wrong with decent used clubs or models from a few years back.
  15. Blade,Ping Zing G5i...I bought it because I needed a putter and it was blue.
