  1. I think that's right. She was a reluctant bikini model. She's from a wealthy Swedish family, probably didn't want to get messed up with the sleazy side of the business. You know, strippers, porn, lechy athletes and b-grade celebs... oh. I doubt she's haggling over lost earnings. She's getting hundreds of millions of dollars. Really interesting stuff. Thanks.
  2. I think this is a real possibility. This or pain killers. He was taking prescription drugs to heighten his sex with porn stars. He's had the operations and the neck pain. My guess is he's struggling with an addiction to pain killers that he probably hasn't got the will to confront yet, what with all the other BS in his life right now. Also, coming off HGH probably leaves you feeling a little vulnerable, too. Do you believe him when he says he has never taken a PED?
  3. I don't understand people bothering to post on a forum saying they are not interested in what's going on with Tiger or that it's none of our business or that it's not news (!). The greatest athlete in a hundred years completely sabotaging his life and career not news? You cannot seperate Tiger on the course and Tiger off it. I was a fan because he played awesome golf, but also because of the image he sold himself as a golf geek. Playing golf on the Xbox after a round, hanging out with the guys in the locker room, playing skins with Jack and O'Meara on practice days. Plus the hot wife and two kids, the money. How many of us have dreamt of a life like that? And then to find out what he was doing in reality! To watch him wince in that interview when Kelly Tighman tells him his name is a punchline? So many painful, humiliating, embarrassing moments. And now golf, the only thing he has left, is leaving him. Don't judge? Yea, I can judge. He's scum, and I hope he never breaks Jack's record, because Jack's twice the man Tiger is.
  4. A couple of years ago, Tiger shoots a seventy five and it's a trip to Vegas, blow a cool Mill with "The Brothers", some porn star sex, then back home with the wife and missus (and the dog). Livin' large! Can you imagine Tiger's world now? All alone on his private jet, flying back to an empty mansion, hounded by sleazy media, life and career in tatters. Tiger is finished.
  5. Did anyone watch the interview with Seve on www.opengolf.com ?A real shame he couldn't make it. What a golfer. They mentioned what he was saying when he holed the putt on 18 to seal the deal in '84. "La Mati" or something. What was it and what does it mean? Does it mean "Yes, Baby!" which is what I say when I hole a putt.
  6. I think Tiger can get a little carried away with the missed putts. Oh boy, poor me, I missed another one, see? Just because you keep hitting it to twenty foot doesn't mean you deserve to hole any of them. If you're hitting them were you want to and they don't go in, you're reading them wrong. If you're not hitting them where you want to and they don't go in, then it's technique. He gets that look like he's disgusted and it's another round watching Tiger hating golf. I watched McIlroys interview, and he said something like if he could watch anyone play golf it would be... (and he actually hesitated) Ishikawa. Spot on. Tiger's a freak show now.
  7. I remember thinking "uh oh" when I watched the post-round press conference after he lost the British Open to Harrington when he said that he has to beat more than just the players, like he also has to beat the universe or destiny or the golfing gods or whatever. I'm sure we all understand what he is saying, because it does feel like that sometimes, but it simply is not the case, and he needs to be pulled aside and told that that attitude is BS. Does he have anyone around him who would risk getting fired and do it? I know Tiger doesn't.
  8. I think a lot of us are beggining to rethink our relationship with Phil and with Tiger. Spot on. I'm getting sick of the sulking, and the "NOW you go in!" attitude. Wait until he hasn't been laid for a year! He'll club a spectator in the head instead of just throwing clubs at them. I cannot wait unitl the Ryder Cup. Holy crap, "Tiger woods you suck!" will seem quaint compared to what he's going to get over there! Phil's shot on 13 was the best shot of the week. Too bad about the putt. Looking forward to AK being up there a lotmore this year. All in all a very good Masters, and a lot was going on off the course, too.
  9. Tiger's thought process: "I didn't win, I putted like a spaz, but at least Stevie's got that nice peice of poontang hooked up for me on the plane and... wait. Noooooooo!"
  10. Where do you go to watch the masters at work? Masters.org is blocked at my work, and anyway, I live in japan where the video is blocked even when I can get Masters.org. Don't really need video, live blogging would be awesome though. Any suggestions, or is everyone at Masters.org?
  11. So do you think that as long as he shoots 67 everything's cool? Obviously a lot of people care. I care. Don't write in a forum and tell us you don't care. Why do that? You've got the greatest golfer ever in what should be his prime throwing it all away to screw porn stars. I care about that a lot, becasue I love golf. I'm not judging him, I'm just stunned that he would do this. The guy has won 14 major tournaments, a billion dollars, married to a beautiful woman with two great kids, and it wasn't enough. That is a concern. Nothing around him seems to have changed. The same people, the same methods. That is a big concern. I have ben a fan since he started, and I still am. But I want to know that even if he wins this week and every other week, will he be happy? Will it be enough? I don't want him drinking or taking drugs or hurting himself in a couple of years because he still doesn't understand what the problem is. Mate, golf is the last thing that matters, really.
  12. Golf1234 3 out of every 4 jokes on this forum bomb.
  13. Don't you want to know if he eventaully got some ATM action with that porn star?
  14. Thank god you're here to put me in my place. What I meant to say is that if someone, anyone can come back after a four month layoff, after going through an unequaled public humiliation and personal disgrace, to come back on the flukiest course in the world and beat an opposition that have had months of tournament play and experience under their belt, and win, it might mean that the standard of everyone else is not as high is it might seem. BTW Tiger missed the cut in the 2006 US Open after his father died, and has since said he wasn't ready. And, alledgedly, he missed last year's British Open cut (oops, I meant "The Open" (you sound like one of those people) after his wife caught him out on one of his trists causing a big fight. Personally, I think Tiger just wants to get out of the house. Again, thank you for your patience.
  15. ... it is final confirmatiom that all the other players on tour suck. Surely he can't win it. Can he? I was listening to that guy who wrote "Mens are from Mars, etc" on Larry King Live and he said that when Tiger comes back he's going to be so happy to be playing golf that he might actaully smile and laugh, and all the women in the world will immediately think, you bastard! (not his words). Would you cheer for him if your wife or girl was standing next to you? Don't worry about the eighteenth on sunday. On every tee, every day, it's going to be sooooo awkward. I can't wait.
  16. Why? Here he is, Athlete of the decade, unequaled success, a bilion dollars. But evidently he cannot find any peace or feel comfortable in his success, and that he has to convince everyone in the world that he is the perfect golf nerd. So that esape is gone for him now, unless he chooses to divorce his wife, which he won't. One thing everyone is taking for granted here is that he will come back and win again. He didn't cope too well last year, and he won 7 times! How would he be if he never won again? What I'm saying is that the one thing that has always been there is his golf game, and if that goes, what has he got? How would he react? Not well, I'm guessing.
  17. I don't need an apology, or need to know what happened. I just want to see some kind of... change. He can't keep going like he was. Something wasn't right. He felt like he had to project this image that was apparently totally wrong. Does he still? That's what Ii want to know. 2 questions I would ask him. Did your father know what you were doing? And, will winning tournaments and millions of dollars be enough now that you won't have the porn stars and coffee shop waitresses and star-f**kers? Welcome back Tiger. I kinda hope you never win another tournament again.
  18. I agree with the article in that Tiger can no longer be trusted. He has botten big, especially in the last few years. I would no longer be suprised if it came out that he was taking HGH. Honestly. He is drug tested by the PGA, sure, but he also drug tests himself privately. I used to think it was in case of tampering, but now who knows? Of course there are golfers who take drugs. They probably keep it a secret because of the clean culture golf enjoys (for how long). Whether it helps or not is another matter. The money is too big not to encourage it. If he is done for drugs, he should never be allowed to play golf professionally again.
  19. This is the big split in his career. You know what i hope he does? Ditch all this megastar Florida home, video game, hanging out with Charles Barkley lifestyle and come back to golf. Start again. Leave the wife and do what he wants to do off the course. Leave the brands - I'm sure even Nike want out now. Start his own range of clothes. Stop wearing red shirts and black caps on Sunday! Go Nicklaus in 72. Long hair, white belts, cardigans! Why did he feel like "Sham" was the way to go? At least now the whole world knows he's a scumbag and he doesn't have to pretend he's a perfect product.
  20. I think everyone in the know knew, so when he crashes his car at 2 in the morning, everyone in the know immediately knows what's up. Fight with his wife, the day after a gossip rag runs a story about him having an affair. You could hear all the other pros chuckling to themselves. When I first heard about it is was serious, and I thought oh no. Then I found out he'd cut his lip and was woozy. Oh. Okay, end of story. Then when it stuck around for a day as a headline on Drudge I thought, uh oh, something's up here. It feels like he's tricked me.
  21. We've all heard about "Luke Donald golf", but yesterday I heard a commentator say that a par Donald made was "a Luke Donald par." Since "Luke Donald" has become an adjective, a describing word, I would like to establish a clear definition for it. I'll go first. Luke Donald (adj) - Looks like a winner, but never quite good enough, as in "The fish I ordered was Luke Donald. I should have gone for the steak."
  22. Wow. Thanks for the contribution. You must be a hit at parties.
  23. Exactly. I don't think Immelman is boring at all. You can't be joking or even smiling when you've got golf to play. The golfing gods will see that and punish you. And even though he showed no emotion except maybe constipation, they punished him anyway on 18 with the drive in the divot, as Faldo noted. No, the Masters is boring because it has been made boring. If you want to watch players trying to 2-putt from fifty feet all day, fine. When friends say it's boring to watch, I have to agree, because every big tournament has to be "GRUELLING". I am sick of GRUELLING. The USPGA is the only major that hasn't dug itself into a hole and can experiment with different courses, different setups, etc. They have an excellent oppurtunity now to move up into the big 3, at the Masters' expense, I'm afraid.
  24. 4 players break par on the last day, 1 player in the top ten. Nice day, bit windy, but WTF? What kind of tournament is the Masters now? It used to be about the best players in the world on the most beautiful course in the world starting the year by taking golf to another level. The tournament to recommend to friends who aren't really interested in golf. Not a bad brand image for a tournament, yea? So what do they do? I can imagine a presentation in the board room a few years ago. "The best golfers in the world are winning our tournament, and making lots of birdies, and even eagles, and especially on the last day when millions of people are watching. This has to stop! Let's make it longer, much longer. Lets grow rough. More bunkers. Harder greens. The US Open, now THAT'S a tournament." This year was the dullest Masters ever. Winner shoots 75. Golf has to be the only sport in the world who's administrators purposely tone it down, dull it up, and keep it sick. The forward tees today might be a sign of some concern, but we'll have to wait another year to find out if they even know they have a problem. Bring on the big two, the US and British Opens!
  25. That was antoher thing about 2004! There were two holes in one at 16, weren't there? Ten minutes apart, or something lilke that. It was just madness. Didn't have an impact on the result, but it just added to the feeling that the whole thing was out of control. AWESOME.
