  2. Well it's been about a year since I last played, and a recent invitation to the Masters has sparked the golfer in my again, and I have fallen in love all over again. It's my second day of recovering my swing, and this is where I'm at so far: Any suggestions?
  3. Well right now I know the problem is a faulty hard drive. Most of my spare hard drives are just mackered. (I've been watching wayyy too much BBC.) And I put mostly recent parts into this one. The only problem is the CPU, a Celeron D 2.6 Ghz. I'd like to overclock it to 3.4 GHz or so with the new cooler I installed. I haven't spent any money yet on it, but that's mainly what I'm focusing on with it. The specs would probably be above-averagely fast.
  4. Well recently I was given a partly working computer from a family friend, and I'm having alot of fun building another computer. However, I'm tempted to put my money into the computer instead of what I've been wanting, Wilson Di9's. I need help on what you would do, and try to be unbiased, as I know this is a golf forum and it's a stupid decision to ask, but I'm just wondering. On another note, would it just be a smart idea to get this computer running fast as possible, and then sell it for a profit?
  5. Perhaps I should reword it; do you ever want to or wish to be on tour?
  6. I think it's pretty common for most golfers, but I was wondering if anyone ever feels like they have what it takes to get on tour? I know I don't have the skill, but I mean the desire to do so. Do you guys think about it? And what would you do if you got on tour?
  7. Ahhh, a novice at club-making. Everyone clearly knows that the air slots throw the ball high into the air, spinning wildly, going in the hole automatically. It's just the research branches of Taylormade, PING, Callaway, Titleist, etc, haven't discovered it yet with their million dollars in research. /sarcasm.
  8. Man... You have no idea, that's just the beginning. Check this out, it's a list of all his ingenious inventions. http://www.xfactordirect.com/products.htm
  9. Jesus christ that mad me laugh extremely hard. Right when I read that, I remembered the great "YAHHHHHH!" :D ...and who can disagree with that beautiful "attack angle"?!
  10. Guys come on! I'm seeing slot of POW!!!, but what about the WHOOM!!!? Hahaha, god this guy is hilarious.
  11. Those are pretty interesting. To know what was going through Hitler's mind... That's to know what Hell is like. The interesting thing about that is it really gives you perspective on how reality is percieved by people.
  12. I'll be honest, I was waiting to hear "So I hit the woman as hard as I could with my board, and watched her skull splatter on the pavement of the platform as the doors of the train closed and sped away. Now I'm posting here because I'm wanted for murder." MAYBE something a little less dramatic, but still something to catch my interest. God I am a sick kind of person.
  13. Haha, the goat made me chuckle. I'm going golfing with my dad Tuesday, a bit late, but still. I haven't seen him in a while so I think it'll be a pretty special late father's day.
  14. That was the most anticlimactic round of golf I've ever witnessed. I pray to god the rest aren't so boring to watch. Nobody made any clutch putts, no shots were stuck close, nobody did anything interesting at all. The tournament all came down to whoever didn't suck that bad.
  15. Its not really a comfortability issue, they are very comfortable, it's just the bagginess of them bothers me. I want to represent a good golfer on the course, and I don't look very clean cut with a baggy polo. By the way, it comes from me being a really scrawny kid.
  16. Now I'm 15, and I know this is the time of my life where insecuirities come in and I don't really think much of it, but today I went out and bought a few synthetic polos. I thought they fit alright but when I went home to wash them and take the tags off, I noticed they are actually pretty big on me, it's almost as if I'm wearing my dad's shirt, if I had a relatively small dad. Should this bother me? I mean the sleeves hang pretty low. But I'm pretty sure this is going to be a useless thread, I just wanted to check. Thanks!
  17. Uhh, please give me a more elaborate explanation. Today I shot TWELVE OVER ON 9 HOLES, so I need to work on the swing, badly.
  18. A very popular topic I keep seeing on these forums is the errors in our divots and how we can fix them. I'm going to post a list of divot errors I know of, and how about we answer these problems with clear concise information, and perhaps a drill to fix them? -Divot starts just under ball -Divot starts before the ball -Divot is too deep/shallow or no divot -Divot points left/right of the target These are the errors I know of, and I'd think it would be a huge help to tackle all of these, so they don't have to be asked repeatedly.
  19. The title is pretty self-explanatory: How do you like to start your back swing? I personally like to feel like I'm coming with my shoulder moving down and behind me. I think this may lead to coming too far inside, and what are the cons of that? I'm interesting in hearing these!
  20. I suffer from this very same problem. I've noticed if I try and come what feels like over the top in my down swing, I hit it very straight. Maybe you should try and just feel like you're hitting exaggerated over the top swings. Today actually I was battling this, it's always my weakness, and I would love to know why I do it. I think I'm spinning my hips out too.
  21. Well earlier today (Yesterday I guess, it's 3:19 AM) I was playing 9 holes with my friend Mark, and I've really noticed a dramatic increase in his distances. His swing is somewhat inconsistent, but he was using his 7 iron when I was using my 5 wood. My drives were averaging about 240-250, while his, 280-290. He's my size, but he's been working out at the gym for about 5 months now. I've noticed his score dropping much lower with this distance advantage, and it really got my wondering today: I should start working out for my distances too. My 5 wood is giving me about 200 yards. At my home course, yardages like that just really arent enough. I'm using the wood almost every second shot up to the green. I need to figure out a daily routine to build up my muscles! So I'm asking you to point out some exercises. I think most golfers could benefit from a decent workout routine, and I'd like to know what the best workouts are for specific golf muscles. Thanks!
  22. I just need to wait for Tuesday. I think I can just ask for a solid lesson on hip movement. Haha.
  23. I was wondering, where do the hips come in the golf swing? I've read in my golf magazine that spinning out with the hips will cause a push, but so far I'm really unsure on what's the whole sequence of the hips. Any drills on curing this kind of push?
  24. Well I have a feeling this thread would be valuable to alot of people, and I wanted to ask, how does one start from the ground up again, to almost (In computer terms) format his swing. Is there a certain series of drills I could follow just to get my swing back to the basics? I'm thinking maybe literally from the ground up, footwork to legs, to chest, to shoulders, to arms. Whatever it may be, tell me what you know about that.
  25. Well I'm back with a question. For the past few days, I've been push slicing EVERYTHING. Not to mention I'm hitting them fat 50% of the time. Could anyone give me some tips on why I push-slice the ball? I'll see if I can get some videos later.
