  1. Its actually only SELECT items from most of those manufacturers. The only brands where the discount doesn't apply to any items is... BABOLAT, EA GAMES, FOOTJOY, FUJIKURA, GOLF PRIDE, LAMKIN, NICKENT, NIKE, OAKLEY, PINNACLE, SCOTTY CAMERON, TITLEIST, UNDER ARMOUR, UST, & ZERO RESTRICTION. That still leaves you plenty of good balls to choose from. Full list of exclusions is here: http://www.golfsmith.com/ps/display_...num=exclusions
  2. Not sure if this is the right forum for this, but here are the details. July 1-5, 2009 15% Off balls, pro-line & pre-owned clubs, GPS & rangefinders 25% Off everything else (with restrictions) http://links.mkt063.com/servlet/Mail...IxS0&mt;=1&rt;=0

  4. Anyone know any good books on course management? I've read Golf By Design by RTJ as well as The Elements of Scoring by Ray Floyd but am looking for others that at least touch on course management.
  5. I have a similar issue...but with all my clubs. I hit all of my clubs higher than anyone I have ever played with...but I don't have a distance issue, I jut hit my shots sky high for some reason. For example, my tee balls start off a bit higher than most, but continually climb until they appear to hit a wall and fall, similar to what you describe. Its not a spin issue I don't think, as I am a sweeper, and my tee shots do get decent roll (10 yards maybe) they just don't have the penetrating flight like they should. For me though, I'm hitting my drives about 270 consistently, so its not much of an issue. Sure I could be launching over 300 probably if I fixed it, but is there really a need? The other side of it too though, is that on my irons, while I'm only hitting my 7 iron 155y, it comes down from about 10 stories up, so it hits real soft and doesn't roll at all after hitting the green, so I know where I land it, is where its going to end up.
  6. In the simplest way possible...back spin occurs when you make a decending blow onto the back of the ball. If you hit the ball first, and then the grass making a divot, you will impart backspin on the ball. That said, IMHO, the ultimate goal should be not to spin the ball back, but make it stop on a dime. Too much backspin is hard to control.
  7. I'm interested in feedback on these also, but also curious what people think about the Ogio Vaporlite. I currently have a Hoofer (circa 1996) and its finally time to give in to a new bag. Its my old high school bag with team name and logo all over it, and its time to move on I figure ;). It's actually in really good shape for a bag thats seen 500+ rounds.
