  1. A new shaft for the 9 iron in my MacGregor 1025CM set and a new Winn grip for my Cleveland 588 SW.

I have a FT-5 I just started playing a couple months ago that I'm having trouble with as well. I would still hit my R510 (330cc) if the head wasn't coming off the shaft.
  3. Gotcha - good point. I've got an appointment with my club pro tomorrow to see what I should do.
  4. Actually, the FT-5 feels heavier to me when swinging it. Not sure if this is just an illusion created by the bigger head of the FT-5 or there is actually a noticible difference in the weight of the two heads. I'll have to look into that further. I had been comtemplating throwing the TGW 90 shaft on the FT-5 and see if that works but maybe that would create an extremely heavy club.
  5. Thanks for the info guys. I've definitely decided the shaft is to blame - now to decide if I get a new shaft in the FT-5 or look for a whole new club with the right shaft - decisions, decisions, decisions.
  6. Looking for anything that could help. I am not married to Aldila - just happens that both drivers had that brand of shaft on them.
  7. For the past few years I had been hitting an 8.5* TM R510 with an Aldila TGW 90 x-stiff shaft in it. I would normally hit this driver around 255-275 with a power fade. The club head started separating from the shaft so instead of fixing it I decided it would be better to upgrade to something a bit newer. For the last two months I have been hitting a 9* Callaway FT-5 with a stiff flex Aldila MOI Proto 65-S. The trajectory with this club is way too high and my power fade has morphed into a big banana causing me to lose around 15-25 yards on average. I am guessing this shaft is no good for me. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
  8. Top-Flite Gamer Best $20/dozen golf balls hands down. The lettering is ugly as sin but the ball is great in terms of performance - add in the price and it is fantastic.
  9. Big fan here as well. This season is shaping up to be a doozie. Its hard waiting a week between episodes.

Turned 31 this year. Started golfing with my grandfather when I was around 3 years old. He had a set of titleist irons with a P on the pitching wedge. My first name starts with P so he told me that was my club that he had titleist make specifically for me. Hit that thing from tee to green for almost two years straight. My grandfather passed away a month ago or so - made sure those clubs stayed in the family.
  11. My goals going into this year were (1) play more rounds; (2) improve my consistency in ball striking; (3) improve my short game; and (4) get my handicap to single digits. Still working on all of them.
  12. Pretty comparable. I played B330's and then B330-S's last year but have recently switched to TP red's while they have the 2 for $55 deal going on. The Bridgestones are a bit better overall IMHO. Bit longer and pretty comparable in spin.
  13. This is my home course. Still pretty new. http://www.bakkercrossing.com/
  14. 82 - 43/39. Played the back nine only as there was league play at my course. Had first tee time after the last leagure 4-some. Play was slow so I played two balls per hole. Par is 35 on the back.
  15. Hello everyone. I'm a lawyer (hold the bad jokes please ) I mainly do creditor work - collections and foreclosures. I also do some real property law and estate planning.
