What he said ^^^^ Go with the Nike Sumo² with square head... don't get a regular "Sumo." You can find used Sumo² 5900's on ebay with a variety of lofts... I've seen them go as low as $70.

I thought 2h (17°) was the lowest hybrid available from Nike. A Nike Sumo 1h? That's news to me.

My meltdowns usually occur on par 4, dog leg lefts. There's two holes like this on the front nine of my home course... and it seems like they beat me down every time.... double bogey or triple bogey.

I've had several meltdowns this year....100+ scores. It's always one part of my game that blows up and causes the meltdowns. Sometimes it's my short game, sometimes it's tee shots... lately it's been my 2nd shots and long irons on par 4's and 5's. My best score on 18 is an 89, a year ago... and on 9 holes a 37 (2 over par), a year and a half ago... which was a freak anomaly. I've shot low 90's many times, but I can't seem to break into the 80's.

I'm more than happy when I hit a drive that goes 250 yards and stays in the fairway.

I use a jumbo mallet putter (Nike IC 20/20). Nobody would ever steal a mallet putter.

When I started playing golf again two years ago, I ordered a set of Adams Tight Lies clubs from Rock Bottom. I ordered the clubs and two days later I had them.... a great set of new clubs for someone who was getting back into golf. I've ordered some other items from Rock Bottom and never had any trouble with them. I buy from tgw.com more often than rock bottom, but I'd recommend rock bottom to anybody.

I didn't want to start a new thread... so I'll post this question here: Is a GAP wedge the same as an A (approach) wedge? My Nike Sumo² iron set has an A wedge that has a 50° loft... and my sand wedge is 55° and pitching wedge is 46°.

haha. I like the consistent height of brush tees. I either hit the yellow X-large for driver... or the small blue ones for my 3 and 7 wood. I still use regular small wooden tees for short Par 3's, high iron tee shots, etc. I used long zero friction tees for a while and I was always teeing them up too high or too low. I'm glad whoever invented the Brush T did so. To each his own.

Over the years, I've played with Taylor Made, Adams and Nike. Nike golf gear is my favorite by a long shot. I've also demo'ed Ping, Callaway and King Cobra... but the Nike clubs feel more natural to me.

I have better luck with 3 & 4 hybrids out of the fairway or rough. Now that I have my hybrids, I only use my 3 wood and 7 wood are for tee shots on long par 3's, dog legs, etc.
