  1. the pic sucks...completly shot at the wrong moment and angle....obviously an amatuer
  2. ...to consistently compete with Tiger. What I mean is when you look at Tigers pedigree I really don't see anyone on the horizon or currently on Tour that has a game or even the ability to elevate his existing game to compete with Tiger on week-in...week-out basis. Can anyone raise their existing level of play to the degree that it will challenge Tiger? Another thread asked if Tiger can improve? Can anyone else improve enough to make Tiger take notice? I don't see any amatuers, NationWide, or collegiate players that had the same "take notice" game as when Tiger was coming up. thoughts...
  3. I hope you're right. I hope Tiger can take that "Major Mentality" into the Ryder Cup. So far I haven't seen the single minded focus that is Tiger Woods in the Ryder Cup. Maybe the fact that he is well on his way to that magic #18 that he can focus on match play again. Hopefully the likes of a Robert Karlsson will not dispatch of our best players with ease.
  4. at what point do you begin to feel sorry for these sad sacks that get into a playoff or in the final group with Tiger? While I enjoy watching Tiger play and win, I cringe at the players trying to stay with him or beat him. I mean Cink hung around but did anyone ever think he had a chance? Tigers duel with Dimarco at the Masters was compelling, but I don't consider the duel between Cink and Tiger as that, more like watching a train wreck.
  5. COMICAL...issues over wether a players caddie takes of his bib on the 18th green. Only in golf can you have a controversy over such a trivial non-issue. Thanks CBS for pointing out something that effects NOTHING. If any player is intimidated by Steve Williams taking of his bib before he putts...please....leave the tour now...we have enough lilly wristed players out there already. Grow some balls and beat Tiger straight out. We need more Lee Trevinos, Johhny Millers, Tom Watsons types and less interest in who offends whom.
  6. you're right...a topic as serious as this I should be serious also..... love J. Timberlake
  7. caddie bibs are ghey anyway....caddies should wear Masters type jump suits.....
  8. if a caddie removes his bib on the 18th hole (that 99% of us wouldn't have noticed if the TV crew didn't point it out) and it bugs you that much then you really need to get a life. No one who has watched golf in the last three years is going to mistake Steve Williams for anyone other than Tigers Caddie....

See....after Tiger goes on his (2) year slaughter of winning majors, he has agreed with the PGA to re-vamp his swing so as to allow Phil, Rateif, and Shawn Makiel types to win a few over this period. This aleviates the boring factor. Once Tiger becomes restless and people start talking about Phil as the next dominant player, he returns with a vengence. I'm going back to my den now as some of the tin foil is starting fall down off the walls and ceiling.....;)
  10. ...so is this what Sergio was talking about when he said Tiger gets all the breaks? P. Michelson

  12. Tom Watson said if he had 3-5 shots a round exactly as he envisioned it was good round....
  13. Tiger guy.. While Tiger seemed very cocky when he joined the tour his credentials backed him up even before he had sniffed the winners circle on the PGA. Winning (3) amateurs in row was enough to validate his bravado or appearance there of. I remember when Tiger was all any reporter would talk about (still) anyway…Phil got annoyed and complained at a press conference that (paraphrasing) “hey I’m young and I’ve won a few tournaments…why don’t you ask questions about how I influence the game?” (strongly paraphrased but in context). This pretty much sums up Phil then and now….”hey …I’m good too…let me tell you about it”. While Tigers “A Game” comment or any comment about his game is pretty much matter of fact and doesn’t need a publicist to extol his accomplishments.
  14. given his first 10 year or even 27 years of continued improvement I see no reason to think this will not continue. Tigers passion and reason for playing are completely different from the rest of the tour and any other golfer. He seems to find a reason to refine and improve his game when it seemingly is unbeatable to anyone else. I would venture to say that Tiger would take his relentless and neverending pursuit of perfection into anything he does. He is a freak....admirable and iconic...but still a freak. Regardless...to answer your question....I see no letup in Tigers pursuit of getter better. love P. Mickelson
  15. ...HOTTTTTTTTT day 90 deg +. My fave is a cold shandy. 3/4 pitcher cold beer (light usually) 1 bottle Ginger Beer Fill pitcher with Ice don't ask me to share ...get your own pitcher...
  16. XtIncT.... I think you're right on. The European Tour doesn't have the purse money the PGA Tour does. American Pro's with the exception of a few play for money and not the win. They don't need to win, just keeping their tour card will ensure a fat paycheck and sponsor.
  17. ..I think you're right on with this when it comes to the regular tour. And I mean between the two of them. But when it comes to the Ryder Cup, I don't think Tiger has the same killer mentality, Don't know why, I just don't see it. as for Phil I've never seen seen it. I'll take ten Chris Dimarcos after that.....nobody jumps out when it comes to desire and killer instinct.
  18. do the Americans ever have the desire, the fire, the drive to win the Ryder Cup anymore. Most of the US top ten are multi bazillionaires or well sponsored. The euros don't have as many spoon fed, hand held players. Every Ryder Cup it seems that some euro unknown knocks off the best americans in heads up play. I see it as complaincancy..
  19. really when you ask who is the best in golf at closing the deal...after Tiger it gets pretty thin. I thought the stat of theorehtical winners if Tiger didn't was pretty interesting. I think Phil had three while you had about ten others with 1 or 2 wins. So really after Tiger it's a toss up as to who can win. Does anyone even put Phil in the Tom Watson catogory?
  20. ...dunno....but Tiger did win. I do find it intersesting that Tiger has not won a major coming from behind. I don't know Jacks stats but I know he won the British coming from behind. I would like to see the stats of Jack coming from behind to win majors. Regardless, Tiger needs NO ONE telling us of his accomplishments or abilities, his record, and domination of golf and his fellow competitors is self evident. Sergio and Phil will caddie in his shadow as long as they keep telling us how lucky Tiger is or how great they are. Tiger needs no publisist....
  21. I think if someone has to tell you that Phil is better than anyone at anything is comical. If Pelz had been working with Tiger as a coach and he said that about Tiger, Tiger would haved fired him the same day. Does anyone need to tell us how good Tiger is?
  22. No according to Dave Pelz...Phil is....
