  1. I hate the burners too. coming from Mizunos, the burners give absolutely NO feedback.
  2. bought the rifle set on ebay. other set is also on ebay
  3. I just ordered a set of MP-57 irons with Rifle Flighted 5.5 shafts for $500. I didn't realize that they were flighted until after they had shipped. I have a relatively high ball flight, and im not sure that the flighted shafts are right for me. Would it be better to return them for a set with the S300 DG shafts? All in all, taking into consideration the shipping charges and possible restocking fees, returning the set with the rifle flighted 5.5 shafts would give me just enough money to buy the set with the DG S300. help me out with this please?
  4. I went out today to the range, and noticed both your points, even before i read your post. I fixed it, and it seems like i got more depth in my shots. In addition, i think i was more consistant today with those 2 factors fixed. thanks man. I tried to not stand over the ball too long today, and it sometimes worked but sometimes doesn't. when i stood over the ball today, i thought of these 3 points: 1. Keep my head still 2. Transfer my weight from the back foot to the big toe on my front foot. 3. hold the follow through to test balance it seems like standing over the ball for a little while thinking of these points helped me today. Im trying to get a constant setup, making sure that i am in the same position everytime. Any tips for this?
  5. 1. i'll try the waggle 2. my brother is ADHD
  6. in texas, you're considered an OUTCAST if you wear pants while golfing.
  7. i see that now... maybe thats whats causing the inconsistancy. thanks!
  8. UPDATE This session today was much better. i tried to be more relaxed, and tried to get a rhythm going. what else can i improve? 6 iron: driver:
  9. i can go to the driving range for free :D
  10. x2 lol. in texas, the only time i can get 85 degrees is at 7am. 100 degree weather is average for me. 105 is too hot
  11. I do feel like I'm gripping the club really tightly and using a lot of force. Il try to loosen up tommorrow. you mean hit one after another? I do think a lot when I swing. Usually, there's one or two aspects of my stroke that I focus on. Sometimes it's not swaying and sometimes it's weight transfer. Should I hit with a clear mind?
  12. im just starting out, so this thread is golden knowledge for me. keep it going
  13. my range uses brand new pinnicles, i don't think they're THAT bad
  14. i'll try that tip of taking the club to hip height. Should it be a full follow through? i play tennis, and i took the concept of keeping the headstill from it. However, when i should look up? after contact? also, how is my stance and how far my are apart?
  15. according to the notice, are these kinds of posts not allowed? i just started, and i think threads like these help new players to find clubs at decent prices from reputable venders. this is a $899 set for $450 or potentially $405 with the 10% cashback from bing, and it seems legit
  16. ive also sent these to swing check, but i would like the advice of the sand trap board as well.
  17. Hi. i just started out playing golf. These are videos from my range session yesterday. I wasn't playing too well. When i went out today, i focused on having my weight centered at address and shifting my weight from the back foot during the backswing to the big toe on my front foot towards impact. I had a very good session today, and actually made solid contact with the ball that sent the ball flying straight and far. do you not see that in these videos? what tips can you give me? thanks guys
  18. i really like the vokey wedges
  19. i wanted to get a scotty after i hit it in a golfsmith. then i read about the expectations it places on the user.
  20. look interesting
  21. if you can afford them, i would go with mizuno MX irons.
  22. i like the looks of the newports better than these.
