    Day 12 (24 Apr 25) - got invited to play in the Monday shootout. Course was still toting the fast and firm greens from Saturday’s mini-Masters tournament. Made for some interesting shots to get to hold the green as well as getting solid reads on putts.

    Day 11 (13 Apr 25) - After watching Rory win, spent a few moments just rolling some putts. Varied the drills - lags to 5 - 7 - 9 ft, then a few heads up rolls (ala Jordan Speigh)….just working with tempo and keeping the stroke consistent.

    Was exciting to watch the win for sure. Really thought he was going to implode after the dbl on one, then he went on to play his game and settled in like a seasoned pro. Was so hoping it would be in regulation, but then again to have two great players have a playoff just made it that much sweeter. With the Grand Slam monkey’s off his back - we may just see an even more revitalized Rory….

    Day 10 (12 Apr 25) - Worked through the bottom part of the bag (8i thru 58°) - hitting varied chips and pitches with each. Was a good session focused on setup and follow-thru.

    Day 9 (11 Apr 25) - Played in my local club’s “Masters” practice round today with guys who will be playing it tomorrow. Was a good session across the bag for me - seeing predictable results in hitting target points.

    Day 8 (10 Apr 25) - played weekly nine hole session with my good friend. I mixed it up a little - rotating thru 3 tee boxes and working with my fave older irons (TA 845s Silver Scot). Despite several holes having poor approach sequences, had several highlights: #5 par 3 - missed the green, 20yd pitch to a hole out dead center cup birdie; #7 par 4 - overshot the green, 3rd shot (wedge) back rattles the flagstick and ball stops about 8’ away, two putt bogie; #8 par 4 - GIR to 10’, one putt birdie; #9 par 3 - just off the green by a couple of feet - smooth roll of the Ram Zebra to center cup to finish birdie-birdie….a first….one of those day where you want to just keep going.

    Day 7 (9 Apr 25) - Vacant lots near the house, a 7i and a couple of golf balls - need I say more, well actually it was a fun time working the shot shape a little. Wrapped up the day with flighted pitch shots - Sw thru 8i - in the backyard.

    Day 6 (8 Apr 25) - short session with hard foam balls and 6i - focused on tempo and getting good weight shift onto lead foot.

    7 Apr 25 - Worked with 8i doing short bump and runs, focused low flight and getting the roll happening. Finished with the SW and repeating the same stance and rotation thru the ball (still fight the “want to help” mode) to maintain a consistent green side swing - no matter the club.

    Day 4 (6 Apr 25) - Got in some late afternoon wedge play with the grandson. Used the 50° this afternoon - lower flighted shots around the backyard. Focused on setup - primary ball position and not decelerating thru the downswing. Side note - truly love working with him and watching his swing get even better.

    Day 3 (5 Apr 25) - long day with setup and rehearsal for band’s church service gig tomorrow. Got home to hit a very chippy wedges (from about 10ft to out to 40yds or so). Focus was simple - feel the bounce and quiet hands.

    Day 2 (4 Apr 25) - played in the weekly men’s group shootout. Decent day off the tee and most longer approaches. Wedges from 70-80 out were off, but green side work was good. Overall a fun day with the crew.

    Day 1 (3 Apr 25) - Restarting the routine after a 4 day quick trip. Got back in the groove today for some swings of the 6i and driver into the net -‘to just warm the muscles a little. Wrapped up the day with grandson hitting 20-25 yd pitches in the backyard. Love watching his swing and also his concept of course management, to hear him say he left himself in a good position to finish (good words from a soon to be 9 yr old)….
