If your gonna spend full price on the MP58's you should honestly wait until you can hit the AP2 "710's". EVERYTHING I have read and heard is that the "710s" are WAY better than the 08's and fix a lot of things some people did not like about the AP2's. So WAIT until you can hit the 710's IMO........

Anyone else able to add anything?

Hey guys I'm in the market for a PING 1-A putter. I have heard SOOO MANY good things about them and I just love the classic look (Not that big into the space ship looking putters these days). My question is this: I can buy a BRAND NEW one (Ping still makes them) for $100 bucks. Or I can search for a OLD used one for probably a little more money. Are teh old ones better? Better feel? Better "PING" sound? Does the age of teh older ones make them a all around better putter (Kinda like how a guitar starts to sound better with age). OR is it just the because they are OLD and people like older things haha? Just trying to figure out if the performance/feel/sound will be worth waiting and searching for a OLDER 1-A putter OR will I get the same performance?

Balto replied to mazza78's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
Hey Smiffy, I see you play the G15's. Just wondering if you tested them against the Rapture V2's? I'm trying to decide between the two lol.... Also, Go with the Serrano, I have read great reviews about it compared to the tfc 149 -
Hey guys, A buddy of mine plays the PING G10 50th Ann. set of irons. I really like the look of them and I called PING to ask about any differences between the REG G10's and the 50th's. The PING guy told me they are the exact same but for two things: 1) Different surface (I guess they put the Older looking surface on them like they use to have.) 2) They Milled them. The guy told me this will give them better feel and a lot for forgiveness. I'm really not familiar with Milling? I always thought it changes the weight of your club and overall performance?

Yes they are the X18"r"'s

Hey guys, I am looking for a new set of clubs and I had pretty much decided on a set of PINGS. I REALLY like the feel of the new G15's BUT I am not so happy with there price tag hehe. The G10's seem to be more on my price level BUT if the G15's are just that much better I would probably spring for the extra and get them hehe. This also brings up the G5's, I see TONS of guys playing these over G10/15's not sure if its because people have not upgraded OR if the G5's are really just as good if not better than G10/15's? My wife bought me a new set of Callaway X18r's for a surprise (they are still in the box unopened). Her brother plays Callaway and he recommend them to her. I hate to open them and play a few rounds IF I just plan to turn around and sell them for some PINGS ya know hehe? I'm guessing I can get more for them packaged up then used hehe. SO my question is have anyone of you played all of these clubs and can make a recommendation? Are these Callaways better than the PINGS? Does a person REALLY get better forgiveness/performance when he upgrades to the NEWER PINGS(G15 over G10 over G5)? Thanks for the help guys

You might try some "Corn huskers Lotion" Link with picture You can buy it at walmart for a couple of bucks. I have tried EVERYTHING and an older lady at Church told me to give this stuff a try!!! Well I still get some bites here and there BUT its about 90% better. PS: The stuff will make you think of your grandmother with its smell hehehe

My vote would be Ping i15's This years i's have reviews of being a LOT more workable than past i's. They will give you the forgiveness BUT be VERY VERY workable...

Just wondering, Anyone compare the new G15 to a Rapture V2? I am hearing the V2 is still better? Any 1st hand experience with them both(Maybe side by side?) -
Just curious, Anyone compare the G15's and the Rapture V2's? I hear most people like the Rapture V2 Driver better than the G15, but I'm wondering about the Irons???

Thanks for the info Ash and GL with your new set!!!!

I'm not the greatest golfer in the world and am looking at the G15's, BUT like teh look of the i15's way better!!!! How forgiving are the i15's? Are they MUCH harder to hit than the G's? I know I know I should stick with the G15's but I'm just wondering HOW much of a difference there is in the two?
-
I like the Ping Raptures better IMO, BUT you might try the new PING G15's... The G15's are a little cheaper and seem about the same to me /shrug

Yes the g15 is high. I Never hit the i15 so not sure about it. If your stuck on the G15 I would just go hit the 9 and see how it does with your 7.5 G10. Go to your pro shop and get a i15 8, G15 9 and hit them both against your G10 7.5 and see what happens hehe. OH btw plz PM me or post here after yo do this: Really wanting to know how the i15 stacks up and which you like better out of the 3 ping drivers. -

With your Handicap, you might look into the i15..... The i15 ALSO come in a 8 SO that might be better than the G15 9, IF your use to a 7.5? PLUS the i15 looks WAY cooler -
Man I went to and looked at those G15's and they feel great.... I think I have found my club (just have to hit them now hehe) BTW: Why did you keep the G5 (SW,UW,LW)? You like those better than your G15's? Just wondering if I should buy some G5 (SW,UW,LW) off of ebay and don't worry about the G15's? Also, you try the G15 Hybrids? I hear they are great!!!!!

Is having less offset that big of a deal? I would think if it was USA PING would make there clubs with less off set hehe?

Just been reading around the web that some people like the Japan version of PINGS better than USA's? I guess the Japan versions have LESS Offset and 1 degree more loft. Here are the specs for the Ping Rapture's!!! You said the i10's and i15's hit flatter than the Ping "G's", but what about forgiveness? Would you say the I's and pretty close to the G's when it comes to forgiveness? OR what woudl you say is the major differences in the I's and G'? Still looking at: Callaway X18r's Ping (g10,i10) 09 TM Burners Just can not make up my dang mind hehe
-
I have no idea hehe? Maybe Cobra's? lol This have something to do with Hippo's? I never said anything about snake eyes hehe
-
A buddy of mine plays "Hippo" and loves them /shrug

Maybe try the "i"10's ? or even the newer i15's IF you like Ping!!!!
-
But I'm guessing they perform like crap huh hehe

Hmm Glad I found this... I was thinking of buying a set from www.feiyanggolf.com (prices seemed to good to be real BUT they said they will provide Serial numbers /shrug) I wish someone would make a sticky thread that has all the fake website in it hehe.
