  1. Just working on my game and was hoping I can get some feedback from the forum! I hit both balls pretty solid but I know I have several swing flaws! I appreciate any suggestions.

    $ Signs

I apologize if this as been discussed before, but I am curious how much money does this average guy on tour receive for being a taylor made, titleist or nike equipment pro etc. I know most guys struggle to make the cut so I would be interested to see how much they are pulling in on the sponsorship alone.
  3. I with you! LOL! Especially with all the 3'somes 4'somes etc... He was involved in, but word is now the actual number is 100 Million.
  4. I'm all for fairness and I believe that Elin surely should be compensated! But is 3/4 of a Billion really necessary! What could he possibly be hiding, the damage is done. No silence is worth 750 MILLION!
  5. LOL I'm only losing about 2 a round.
  6. Like most golfers I struggle with the lost balls and I really need an affordable and reliable place to buy these. I have been to a ball fitting and would like to give a run at the high end Nike, Pro V1 or Taylormade, I just can't stomach the price! Any suggestions? I hear there are a few good places for once hit or used balls as well.
  7. I attempt to play a few holes at a time. So for instance the first three holes I try to be no more than 2 over and so on! Now your a much better golfer but playing my round in smaller increments has really helped me!
  8. I never and repeat NEVER lie about my game! That's the last thing I would do! I also never cheat and I'm not big on the Mulligan I shoot legit terrible rounds and just recently began a practice regimen.
  9. I may have missed being called 16 so I understand where that can come from, but calling me 16 doesn't bother me at all. I come here for answers and appreciate the honesty, even if it is very brutal!
  10. What could possibly make me "sound"16?
  11. Good advice and I have seen several pros, I have actually worked in the industry, just never really picked up a club and when I did I was hooked. I am an athlete and have played both basketball and football at an all state level so I don't think it's too far fetched. Within the previous year I made huge gains and I really think by this time next year at the worst I should be a 5! Swing coach is hired I just joined a league I WILL NOT LOSE!
  12. Some from what it looks like EVERYONE is saying it is damn near impossible! And am i reading Paper Tiger now! So most of you would say putting and chipping and lessons?
  13. How is it impossible!
  14. No I'm about a 16 now, but I just recently started making this pledge!
  15. I have been playing golf for a little over 3 years now and have really began to take it seriously within the last year. I really would like to be a scratch golfer, and think I can do it within a year. What should I be focusing on to make this happen!
  16. while many people may be more athletic than woods -- although he and many other pro golfers are in good shape -- the title "athlete" in this sense simply means anybody that plays a sport professionally (including NASCAR). woods' decade - 64 total wins, 12 major championships: 2000- won the US Open, British Open, and PGA Championship 2001- won the Masters (thus he had won all 4 major championships consecutively) 2002- won the Masters (only the 3rd golfer ever to win it back-to-back), won the US Open 2003- no majors 2004- no majors 2005- won the Masters and the British Open 2006- his father died and he took some time off... came back and won the British Open again, and won the PGA Championship 2007- won the PGA Championship again 2008- won the US Open on a torn-up knee and surgery ended his season just afterwards 2009- coming back from injury, he didn't win any majors, but he won 6 tournaments and the FedEx Cup, and went 5-0 in the Presidents' Cup There aren't too many other athletes who have sustained anywhere close to this amount of success over these 10 years. Winning 12 majors would be good enough for 2nd all time behind Jack Nicklaus' 18. Woods had won 2 major championships in the 90s so he has 14 for his career. He obviously is having some off-the-course problems right now, but that is irrelevant to his play on the course. He likely will go down as the greatest golfer of all time, as long as he catches Nicklaus. Woods will be 34 at the end of this month. Golfers have typically been successful into their early to mid 40s. Several golfers have sustained success until the age of 48-50. Tom Watson almost won the British Open this year at age 59. Considering Tiger and most golfers keep themselves in better shape nowadays, who knows how long Tiger will play at a high level. It's hard to argue w/ his success from 2000-09. Other athletes have done well, but not that well.
  17. Best Quote out of all the thread! Any wise tour player would STFU! Tiger will be back he may not be the same but he will be back. Chances are since he isn't out sleeping around he might have time to practice and learn how to hit the driver straight!
  18. If I have a X Flex shaft in my driver, should I also have it in the other clubs in my bag. Especially asking about 3 wood and hybrid, I'm not sure if you can get x flex irons. Thanks
  19. Being stronger has its advantages but don't over do it. I would focus on core and overall balance. I'm 6'3 265 and a former bodybuilder and my muscle has never helped me in my golf swing. I'm actually trying to lose weight! Get a BOSU ball and some resistance bands and you will build appropriate golf muscle!
  20. What's more important a good set of wedges or a good putter? Are all putters really the same?
  21. I really appreciate all the help! I'm going to try the "Truth About Short Game"
  22. I have heard just about every tip to help the high handicapper, which is me, to become a better short game player. And when I say every tip, I MEAN EVERY TIP! Use a hybrid around the green, use your 7 iron, put the ball forward, keep your head down for a 2 count and the list goes on. I would say I'm a decent ball striker with the one bad shot per whole which is always a shot around the green. One of two things will happen I will hit it clear across the green or flub it and leave it way short. Now that you have some background on how terrible I am, I am asking what would be the best tip for hitting consistent chip shots. Thanks in Advance!!!!!
  23. University Professor Wellness Director
  24. I have been known to leave the course entirely! But all jokes aside I usually think there is always the next round!
  25. The "feet together drill" is very helpful at times on the course I hit shots that way!
