  1. I fly a lot... over 100K/yr and the airlines have lost my bags, (not clubs, always just baggage) more times than I can count. The longest they were ever lost for was 3-4 days. I think they went to Hawaii and I went to SFO. During that time, I've never had anything lost permanently. *KNOCK* ... *KNOCK* on wood. They have always made their way to me eventually. Usually I can get hold of someone that can at least tell me where they are however. The tracking ticket is checked at each stop along the way, so it would be in their system from the time you checked them in, through each layover, until they arrive at the destination. The last time this happened, I checked my number at the airport in their computer and it even showed what baggage claim turnstile they arrived on (different from what it should have been) I walked to that number and sure enough, there was my bag. As long as it is in the system, then you should be OK. If it wasn't in the system, then I would be concerned. From your statements it sounds like its most likely waiting for a flight to be placed on. I voted yes, you will get them back.
  2. Really enjoying your blog, congrats on advancing! Good luck in stage 2!
  3. I've played the stroke play at Bethpage Black a couple times and ended up +6 both times, from the red tees. The putting is pretty hard to judge out passed 10'. I think my best put has been 15' or so to this point, although I did have a chip in from 30'. I found the tutorials pretty invaluable if anyone is having problems figuring out the controls. I haven't played any golf simulators in probably 10 years but this one seems pretty good, especially for an online one.
  4. Not sure if anyone has seen this yet or not, but I didn't see it when I searched the forum. I found this the other day and its a pretty good online game. http://www.wgt.com/home.aspx It's a flash game, but its much better than nearly any flash game I've seen before. Its in Beta now, so I'm wondering if it will become a pay service once it leaves beta.
  5. Huge fan of Belgian and micro brews here. I generally won't touch anything that is mass produced in the U.S. as they all tend to give me a head ache regardless of the qty consumed; with a direct relationship between the size of the brewery and its ability to impart pain in a short time period. Currently have some Mc Chouffe and Chimay chilling in the fridge. Since I travel a lot for work, I've had the pleasure of tasting some great micros from around the US. My staple where I live is Victory hop devil; http://www.victorybeer.com/hopdevil.aspx . When in Oregon, I always check out Mcmenamins http://www.mcmenamins.com/ as they always have a great selection of fine micros. If I'm in the east bay of CA I'm all over the Hoptown IPA that can be found at the Hopyard in Pleasanton; http://www.hopyard.com/index.htm
  6. I have several Mountain Hardware Gore-tex shells that I got for hiking back when I lived in NJ that I've worn and feel comfortable to me. I know that statement may sound funny to those not from NJ area. There are a lot of trails there, trust me. I've found that a lot of the hiking gear (other than shoes of course) can be crossed over and seem to work fine. I just played in 35 degree weather with a canvas pullover and 2 other layers including hiking long underwear and t-shirt. I was perfectly comfortable. The nice thing is that good hiking gear also wicks away sweat, so that helps a lot. In NJ I used to go to Campmor a lot in northern NJ, they had pretty good prices on gear. This is unfortunately not the best time though to get deals, most are to be had in the spring when they have the fall winter stuff still on the racks. I got a $450 shell for like $200 then.

Hockey fan here, have to say Rangers vs. Islanders. I hear that in MSG they still yell out Potvin's name in vain now some 20+ years later. BTW, I'm unfortunately an Islander fan so I haven't had much to look forward to other than next year for a long time.
  8. Great book, read most of it the day that I bought it from Borders. I also have the DVD's and think the book is an excellent supplement to them. I had trouble understanding some of the points in the DVD's that were better explained in the book and vice-versa.
