  1. HA HA HA! What a moron! That's why i just hit into slow groups. Asking to play through can only cause problems.
  2. People must be super angry up there. I've never seen anyone come close to hitting another person w/ a club.
  3. AZ! Scottsdale can't be beat! There are also quite a few courses in Tucson that I would recommend.
  4. 15 clubs??? HA- why not play winter rules are year long too! J/K!
  5. It's hard to tell anyone which irons they should use. You should try them all and choose the ones that best suit you. Try going to a proshop w/ a driving range and demo them if possible.
  6. Not sure if this was a joke or a real story I heard somewhere. Some guy got angry and threw his golf bag and clubs into a pond. When he got to his car he realized that his keys were in his golf bag. So he went into the pond, got his keys and left his clubs and bag in there. ha ha ha!
  7. That's hilarious! I would have paid some local kid to go in and get it.
  8. I stopped throwing clubs and breaking stuff when I was about 24 or so. When I get angry now, I just whip my ball at my cart or into a pond (if there's one near). After that, the steam is usually gone and I'm good to go.
  9. 60*???? You shouldn't be using a 60-degree wedge for chipping in the first place. Use a PW, or a 52* for chipping. Get the ball rolling as quickly as possible. Those chippers are junk. Are they even legal?
  10. I have a very nice set of 670's for sale. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=280039435576 I love the 695's....minus the red lettering.
  11. I gotta go w/ the Hogan Apex Forged- I also love the CG1's (Black Pearl)-
  12. Center shafted - - - LOVELY!!!!
  13. Knock-off's are BAD - end of story! How the club looks is the least important thing when it comes to making good performing equipment. Clones are designed to look like the real deal not perform like it.
  14. I have the standard Nickent Speed-rated graphite shaft (stiff). From the rough, it does not come out hot. And that's what amazes me. I'm a digger and this club allows me to use that as a strength from the rough. Maybe all hybrids are like that...but this is the only one I've tried. The only problem I have with it is when I try to use it from 185 yards (or so) and I swing too lightly resulting in about 125 yards of carry. But that's my fault! I should be using my five or six iron.
  15. Golf Pride Multi-Compound or Winn G8's.
  16. Yeah, it's a 3+ 18.5* hybrid. http://www.nickentgolf.com/pr_iw_3dx-01.shtml Actually, I can hit it high or low depending on the situation - it's very easy to control- IMO. I use it from the tee, fairway, the rough and even the sand. I have no problem hitting a burried (in the rough) ball 200 yards....with some decent trajectory. Before I used the hybrid from the rough, I would burn a four iron and pray that it came out straight and didn't dip.
  17. Get the 6-iron re-shafted and see how that works. If it's better, get them all done. If not, sell the clubs.
  18. OT: Did you guys see the picture in Golf Digest w/ Nicklaus taking Arnie's money? It was a pretty cool article too!
  19. Oh, so they're not S-300's? Dude, you might need to get that changed ASAP. You wouldn't believe the difference it will make.
  20. Use whatever feels best for you and gives you the best results. If that means using GI's...then use GI's. And as the saying goes, "If it aint broke, don't fix it!"
  21. I used a Callaway Heavenwood (RCH-96) for about three years! Perfect for ~200 yard par 3's. The ball would just float up and land on the green- I loved it. Now I get the same results w/ my Nickent Ironwood and I'm able to use it in more situations than the 7-wood.
  22. Nice set. Wanna trade or sell your CG4's?
  23. I tie a string to my ball. This way if it starts to slice or hook I can just pull the string and straighten it out.
  24. A 3-wood is a must- IMO. A 3-wood off the tee and Hybrids for 3-5 irons would be my recommendation for beginners.
  25. Have you ever tried left hand low w/ a regular putter? It basically forces you to stay square to the target-line. It takes a little practice to get the feel for long putts but when you do, it's MONEY! Just a thought!
