No I was not fitted. The main reason I use an X flex is cause everything else feels to whippy. I like to have that feeling if i decide to reach back and power something the heads not gonna snap off cause i made the shaft look like a fishing pole with a huge catch on the line. That and i also read that using a stiffer flex will help with dispersion and accuracy.

Thanks. Part of the 23 handicap is mainly poor course management and putting skills. Know any drills to help me get my hips involved more. I have the same problem in softball and baseball and i think it causes me to lose a lot of power.

Ok. So i took some better vids today.

Working on my swing and ball striking. Trying to build a consisent, repeatable swing that produces the a straight ball flight. Been fighting a push/slice since i started playing. Also trying to work on my putting

Which part of the ball do you look at?
Kicker replied to binga7's topic in Instruction and Playing Tips
I try to look at the area just around the ball. -
full swing vs. 3/4 swing vs. 1/2 swing
Kicker replied to jgreen85's topic in Instruction and Playing Tips
The real question is not what distance you might gain, but wheter you can maintain proper clubhead alignment going to a full back swing. I noticed with my swing that i actually hit the ball better with a 3/4 back and 3/4 follow through -
Thanks for the inputs. Quick question, would my right elbow coming away from my body have anything to do with me pushing.the ball to the right

So this is my swing with a driver. Driver set up is as follows Cleveland Launcher 9* Graffaloy Comp NT 65g X Measured at 45 3/4" Can't seem to figure out why everything goes right. Its not a slice but more of a push. This is four swings. 3 went right about 20 to 30 yards off of center. One went left about 15 yards of center. sorry about the view. I can't seem to figure out how to rotate the video

Both are beautiful courses. The only major difference is the length of Blackhorse compared to Bayonet. If you are walking play Bayonet. If your riding i would play Blackhorse cause its a little more challenging

Ben, Did you play in your US Open qualifier yet?
-
If you ever decide to come up this way to play before the Open. I'd love to play a round with you. I suck but I get out there to have fun and make my game better. Plus Bayonet or Blackhorse will definetly tighten up your game as there is not a lot of room for errors on either course

http://www.guestlife.com/media/Guest...pen-Qualifier/ Ben, Didn't know if you knew about this one. Should be pretty nice out here and the course has been in excellent shape the last few times I played there

Im feeling good shot 90 today. Best round so far. Scores have been coming down consistently since i picked up a set of X14's. Driver is starting to become less scary for me off the tee.

So I have a quick question about my swing with a driver. When I swing my driver, i can't seem to get my hips to turn unless i also pivot my feet like in a baseball swing. Turn on the heel of my left, ball of my right foot. This has helped me cut down the amount of slice that i get and added about 15-30 yards to my drive. Does this seem wrong or should i stick with what works?
-
101 today for me. but its down 17 strokes in the last week

Turn 29 in November. Still trying to get rid of the baseball style speed swing

Recently bought a set of X-14 for a very good price and the pitching wedge that came with the set is broken. My question is should i go the cheap route and put a generic shaft on it or should i spend the money and time to send it back for a Callaway shaft
