I do believe, with a lot of confidence, you are wrong about the specs debate.

Maybe so, maybe not. I don't personally enjoy the Wii that much. It was fun the first month or so I got it for my girlfriend, but it just sits there now. Specs ARE relevant, and so is fun. But high specs draw the best developers, so saying specs don't really matter is a strech. Once again, I would disagree. There are three, maybe four titles worth buying right now, and yes the virtual console is cool, but I have a NES for those games. Fun, my forum friend, is in the eye of the beholder If sales determine the best product on the market, I better get rid of my Apple laptop . I'm just saying, sales do not equal quality. Suckering a bunch of soccer moms and teenagers into buyign something is good marketing, not a great product. AHA, my point. You are no longer a "gamer". You may still enjoy video games, but the gamer in you is no longer there. I understad, life, kids, and GOLF can get in the way, but I am glad you said this. It makes your argument understadable. But, I'm 32 and still game 20+ hours a week. I have no kids, no family close by, and LONG cold winters in Indiana.

I'll get on that next week. It's a little older so it's gonna show some wear!

Actually just bought a Scotty Cameron about six hours ago on the spot Probably not the smartest purchase of my life, but never saw a price this low on new one, so I had to do it. Ramon noodles and I will become very good friends the next couple of weeks

It's not. That is true. I imagine some of those people buying those expensive houses can't realy afford them, so they take on large debt to do so in the hopes of "keeping up with the Jones". A lot of people buy expensive stuff they can't afford to do so. Not saying all, and definitely not trying to imply you, but some do. I also believe the housing market may not be the best way to argue this. I think the state of the housing market in general has been overinflated and the crash has started. I always respect what you say Erik, and thanks for your point of view. It has enlightened me a bit. However, i still belive that 150,000 is enought to live on anywhere in the US. Not the same everywhere, but livable anywhere. I just have to believe that. It may not be how you think you deserve to live, but you will have a solid roof over your head, a car, food, and some extra cash to live life enjoyably.

You are right on the PS2 and the Wii, which no offense, but it's not a next gen console. It's fun, for sure, but next gen, not really. Check out the specs. It's basically the GameCube with motion sensing abilities. BUT, it is selling like hotcakes for sure, but I don't see it having the legs, or games, for "gamers". They casual market they have dominanted will dry up eventually. It was one of the best business moves I have witnesses in my life. Nintendo deserves every cent they can suck out of people for their product. As for the PS3, you may be right, I also owned a Dreamcast But, there is not a game out right now on consoles that can touch Warhawk in multiplayer online, which seems to be the wave of the future. That game is special, and I think shows what Sony is going to bring to the table. Home, LitteBigPlanet, Drakes Fortune could be AAA titles. Notice, no "2" or "3" after those names. Why? Because they are orginal titles, unlike Halo "3" I will give the xBox one thing, well maybe two. It still has the best game ever made, Gears. And BioShock is a great new title for the system. It just seems the FPS genre is a little overcrowed on the xBox, with not much new or different(Viva Pinata is about it, right?) To each their own, though. Enjoy the 360!!!!!!

I will agree with you on that. Sorry for ranting. And if I upset anyone, I am sorry. It's just very hard to read when you make 30,000 working an job which I belive helps society, scraping along, and not minding it one bit. I just think 150,000 dollars is a lot of money and anyone lucky enough to make that much should count there lucky stars. I understand, most of them have worked very hard to achieve that job and status, just don't say you have it hard. To quote a great fold singer, JJ Grey, "Don't piss down my back and tell me it's rainin'"

You check out where I live, no Hummers in sight. No townhouses. Just normal people working normal jobs, in very normal houses and neighborhoods. If you make enought to live in a "townhouse", you are doing just fine. Trust me, you are top 5%. You are one of the lucky ones.

If 150,000 isn't enough for a family to live on ANYWHERE in the US, then I need to be put to sleep. I can't belive I live in a country where 150,000 is not enough. Great roster, no doubt, I just thought 07 was a much better game. BTW, PS3 haters go away The console race is a marathon, not a sprint. Remember that in two years when you are buying the XBox 760 Elite Special Edition for $600, and I am still playing my PS3

Alright, this is out of hand. You all are a bunch of whinners!!!!!! Quit complaining about Bonds, my god. Yes, I am a Giants fan. Yes, I think Barry is juiced, BUT we have NO IDEA how many other players were on the juice as well. There is more than enough evidence to reasonably say scores of MLB players were taking enhancing drugs. Bonds has just become the obvious target. He is hated by most. He is arrogannt. He treats the press horribly, so he became the target. I, by no means, know the truth or how Bud Selig really feels, but I do have enough common sense to know he isn't the only one, just the main target. BTW, the Hall of Fame, to me, is and always will be a joke without Pete Rose.

Not that my opinion matters, but i reviewed this game for the newspaper I worked for. I, personally, would stay away. If you are a xBox 360 owner, you will be VERY disappointed, and if you are a PS3 owner, like me, you will still be disappointed, just not as much. The controls suck, thank god the brought back the 3 press method, cause the sticks don't work very well at all. It is darn near imposssible to hit a shot straight, even with a full powered Tiger. Well, it's much easier with Tiger, but still rough, lots of rough. You start off way to weak. Putting is a joke. Nailing 50 foot putts like 6 inch tap ins. Online is as glitchy as last year, maybe worse. I'd stick with 2007. Yeah, 5 new courses and 8 new players, but really a much worse game than last year. BTW, Hot Shots Golf 5 will be released on October 1st, and is a PS3 exclusive.
