Wow, golf, there's just so much to learn...I guess it just comes naturally with LOTS of practice. I just wish my entire game would all come together

This seems much easier said than done, for me anyways!! I wish I was consistent in everything golf, but I guess it takes years AND YEARS of practice...so far, I just have my putting down and at most 3-putt once or twice during an 18 hole course...

Keeping your stats is a great idea. Its a good way to see where you need to improve, whether its teeing off, in the fairways or your short game. I know that I'm fine with my short game and just ok with my driving, I just need to get the middle part worked out!!

I've only been playing since July! I'm working on the 3W though...and just got a new LW that I need practice with as well! I tried looking for 3 Iron (LOL!!) but if I really want one, they'd have to special order one for me. So in the meantime, I'll just keep practicing with my 3W or use my 5I. Even off the tee, the 3W is a toughie...

They do, but they're normally not the right size you need it to be depending on what club you're using.

If you use a tee, they have to be those rubber tees as wooden tees won't stay put!

I used to think that Par 3 courses were Executive Courses

Is there much of a difference or an advantage as to whether you are hitting off the grass or off the mats? Some driving ranges you're hitting off the mats and some they just rotate. But at a few golf courses around here, its mats only and they highly discourage the use of tees, I was approached and told that I CANNOT tee off the grass and must use the mats instead, sheesh!!

For me, I guess it just depends on the day and how well or not I'm hitting that day

Hmmm....Interesting, I've never really paid attention to the cost of an executive course or a regular course. Can an executive course be a 9 hole course?

Are there specifications to what determines whether a hole is a Par 3 or a Par 4? There's a course that I've been to just once around here, and hole #10 is a Par 3, but yet its 207 yards. Umm...the last time that I checked, my driver can't possibly even get onto the green in this Par 3 hole. And its the same 207 yards for both the front and back tees and you're hitting of the mats, pleh. And I tried to put a tee in the grass and almost got yelled at Which will lead me to my next post. But, shouldn't the 207 yard hole be considered a Par 4? TIA
