  1. Nakashima, the company owner's last name
  2. Used to like Titleist NXT tour, but ended up with Bridgestone e6 (tour yellow).
  3. I'm in the same boat with my driver. I took it to Golfgalaxy and they used some kind of metal block (ferrule hammer?) to push it down. It stayed there for a while, but it's loose again. I'm thinking about pulling the shaft out and replace the ferrule this time. Does anybody know what Golfgalaxy charge for this service? It seems like the ferrule alone cost ~$10.
  4. I have 10.5° with Aldila NVS 65 stiff shaft. Loving the sound and feel!
  5. Are these fixed or interchangeable? Some people in our league flight believe that white stakes are not always OB, it can be lateral hazard depends on course.
  6. Need some clarifications for white and red stakes. As far as I know, white and red stakes indicate out of bound and later hazard, respectively. Is there any exception to these? Some guys in our league flight interpret white: lateral hazard and red: OB depends on the course.
  7. Custom made Chinese Scotty putters cost around $70.
  8. Well, I was not aware of that Ping clubs are made in China. No wonder why so many counterfeit clubs come from China! Perhaps, some could be legit genuine clubs through illegal route, not knowing how manufacturers control their inventories oversea.
  9. Just received ping G15 3 wood from TGW.com and the label says head/shaft are made in china. I doubt that they would sell a counterfeit, but just curious.
  10. Ping G15! I struggled at first, but now I'm used to it. My buddy has R9 driver, but he likes G15 better.
  11. Same here. Ordered mine on Jan 16. According to Jeff, the order was sent out in the same week. However, I did not received it yet. I emailed him for tracking, but no response at all. I'm going to wait another week, then time to call paypal for resolution.
  12. Just realized that they dropped the annual membership fee by 50%. Seems like for iphone only.
  13. Update after re-gripping from mid to standard size grip. No more fade or slice with G15! Still, it takes a little effort to hit G15 compare to Sumo2 since I'm more used to Sumo2 (>1year) than G15 (
  14. Both shafts are the same length. As for the torque, I believe it's different. Sumo2: Stock shaft, nike golf diamana 65-S, torque: ? G15: Aldila, NVS 65-S, torque: 3.6 The grip on G15 feels definately thicker in my hand and little uncomfortable. I'm planning to change the grip to standard size. Isn't square head more forgiving, not less forgiving?
  15. Is square head driver much more forgiving than conventional teardrop head driver? I can hit Sumo2 pretty good, but not G15 (fade or slice). Not sure whether any subtle difference in grip or something else with G15 changes how I swing the club. Both are stiff shaft, but G15 has midsize grip compare to stock grip (standard size?) on Sumo2. Could this be a reason for fade and slice with G15?
  16. Bought used G15 driver from 3balls.com through ebay. No issues nor worries about buying a fake club.
  17. +20 handicap, I hit about 250-280
  18. This will be my final posting for this thread to answer your question and make few things clear. Yes, they had open hole ahead of them the entire back nine! When I drove ball over them, they were about 250 yards out. /Thread
  19. I can take all constructive criticisms for what I did, but no name callings please! These twosomes were intentionally holding up play by hitting two balls regardless of pace of the course. That was why I got frustrated. Especially, on Par 3, they would not get off the green. It's acceptable for them to hold up and have people wait behind them, but not acceptable for them to wait?
  20. Fortunatley, my handicap is all about the short game and putting. As you may noticed that I'm little impatient. We should have, but this course even allows to play even sixsomes! I won't be playing at this course anymore to avoid these kind of people.
  21. Ok. I'm the villian here. Again, my intention was not to harm them in anyway. We would have warn them if the ball really got any close to them or went out of control.
  22. The situation was not as dangerous as one would think as if I was hitting at them. I admit that it was not the right way to handle the situation.
  23. They were definately holding up play, each teeing off with 2-3 balls, searching and playing all balls (all over the course) all the way to the green. Driving ball over them was to give them a warning to move on. I know it was not the proper manner.
  24. Just came across this twosomes (father/son)at a local park district course, each playing with two balls. The course was little backed up due to an outing, but these idiots were making it worse for us. I intentionally drove the ball over them to give them a warning. When I approached them at the next tee. This teenage son was arguing me about not yelling "fore" instead of them playing two balls. The father would not say a word and they kept on playing with two balls for the rest of the two holes. I don't understand what this father is teaching his teenage boy.
