    When an iron fits you well, I suppose it could feel like magic though...I dunno. You play Vokeys and I hear the same thing about them, "why all the hype?" from people who play Clevelands, Nikes, Scratch, etc. wedges.

    I just had a horrendous round yesterday. 95 with 7...yes 7 penalty strokes. I sat back after the round and looked at what I did well and took that away from the day. As an amateur golfer I think most of the game is in your head, the more confidence you can inspire the better. Good luck, and hopefully your most recent good round will rub off on my next round haha.

    This is what it feels like I am doing, but I had a hard time convincing myself that my swing should be different. This would explain why I am money with my 8-wedges and pretty good with my 6 and 7, but bad with the 3-5. So how much of a change should there be? And are there changes in the stance and/or distance from the ball as well?

    Played like crap yesterday but did drive the ball 293 and 284 on level ground and 271 uphill. So that was cool. It was nice being right next to the green on the 2 par 4s and having a reasonable shot in on the par 5. I can see how distance really does help after that round.

    So does it make sense to play the tips from some courses and not others if it keeps the rating and slope similar?

    Went to the range today and was hitting everything great but the 3-5 irons and my hybrids. It was strange, contact felt solid yet the ball would launch and remain low leading to a short shot with a ton of roll. What are the most common issues causing this?

    But a stiff shaft is a stiff shaft isn't it? One should not be flimsier than another in terms of flex. It may feel flimsier because it is lighter but should flex the same shouldn't it? Edit: want to make sure you know I am not intending to be a smart ass with the questions, I am honestly asking as that was my assumption.

    If the OP doesn't mind me adding, I'd like to know what everyone focuses on during their session?

    I think you need to take a couple days off, or focus on just chipping and putting for a day or two if you can't stay away haha. This should refresh your swing and have you playing better at the same time.

    From what I understand it should be a touch harder to hit consistently but should create more club head speed with equal swings. I am not sure on trajectory, I would think it would be similar as long as all other characteristics are equal as you mentioned. Stiffness should be the same.

    I hit the ap2s as well, I was not blown away, although I could see how a lot of people would like them. They look very nice.

    If you do not mind using ebay, it is the way to go. My irons retail for around $900 and I got them for $425 in very good condition. That way if you aren't happy with them you can always trade them in or sell them to make your money back.

    Sounds like my dad. I would have done the same thing, as I would not feel good about my score if I knew it wasn't honest...even by 1 stroke.

    Maybe you could ask her to take a few pictures of them getting on the bus or being dropped off, whatever the case may be, to show interest in their 1st day. I would think as long as you take an interest and maybe help get them ready for the 1st day, she will be more understanding. Good luck in the final and with your wife.

    I had been looking at those online, but was not sure how they were (I have heard mixed things). But that is good to hear. Do you like the amount of bounce it has?

    Yeah, I'm not really feeling the gigagolf wedge. It looks nice, but the feel is just not there. I will check into their new wedge though.

    I want to ditch my current 56* in favor of a 54*. I would like to spend $40 or less and do not care if it is used. However, I do not know much at all about wedges other than a lot of people like Vokeys and Clevelands. Are Mizunos any good? If so what models? Thanks for any insight, as this is something I will not be able to demo first.

    Nice looking club. Favorite club...well after my 1st round with my mp58s I have to say I love my 8i. That thing is money.
