  1. I have one and think it is great. You didn't go wrong there. I probably would not have bought it for myself as I was looking at other bags. It was recommended by a golf pro to my wife and I am glad she listened. She got it for me as a gift a couple years ago. It has held up well with many more years left in it.
  2. I too was considering the Niblick. I am not too sure though, a lot of mixed reviews out there. I was considering the 56* to replace my Ram FX 55*. Not much sand on the courses that I play and if there is it is pretty hard packed. I have not decided yet. Any recommendations?
  3. Ebay is the way to go IMHO. If you are worried about a seller's reputation then you can filter by ebay's top rated sellers. I have almost always gotten a better deal by using ebay. Many of the sellers referenced in this post have ebay stores.
  4. I would say Taylormade. I love my Wilson irons and would go with them as a second choice.

    Age

I am 40 and have been playing off and on for about 23 years. I have played more rounds of golf in the past three or four years than any of the rest combined. I think the advent of Tiger Woods got me back to the game. He is probably one of the main reasons, directly or indirectly, that there are so many young golfers in this forum.
  6. Sorry so long to reply: The wheat is just too sweet for me. I prefer a combination of hops and malt. That's why I like the Boulder varieties. I think they get the combination just right.
  7. In my fridge right now I have mixed twelves of Boulder Brewing Co. and Flying Dog. I always have Miller Light aluminum pint bottles on hand too. I am really liking the Singletrack copper ale by Boulder as well as their Sundance amber ale. As for the Flying Dog beers: I like the amber lager, porter and classic pale ale but will definitely stay away from the golden wheat in the future. Next week I plan to pick up some other mixed twelves, maybe some Fat Tire or Boulevard. Cheers!
  8. I like the Wilson Fifty more so than the Zip. With the Fifty I get better distance and it feels better around the green. Just my two cents.

    Iron Covers?

I use them. I have the clear ones, forget the brand name though. They fit my irons nicely and keep them from banging around. I got them because I had read somewhere that the Di7's finish tends to chip and did not want that to happen. I have had no problems. There are plenty available on Ebay.
  10. Keep what you have and replace your clubs as you go. That's what I did anyway, started with clones and replaced them here and there as I was able to. I think I have a pretty decent set of clubs now. My game has improved tremendously too. Having name brand clubs tends to put more pressure on you to play better IMHO.
  11. I have never used a two iron and don't plan on it. My swing speed isn't as high as yours but I am able to outdrive my regular foursome most of the time. Keep a positive attitude and keep moving forward even if you get knocked two steps back. It helps if you envision yourself playing golf again. With that mental picture it gives you a goal to work toward. Best of luck to you.
  12. I have a 60* but don't use it because I have muffed way too many shots. I need to practice with it alot more before I use it on the course.
  13. I have a Columbia Granite Tors shell that is waterproof and breathable. I can layer that with a fleece vest or my windblocker fleece jacket depending on the conditions. I also have Valley Forge winter golf gloves that are quite tacky in the palm area. Ear grips and a winter ball cap round that out. The Granite Tors pants are available too but I have not gotten around to buying those yet. It is probably one of the cheapest and versatile systems out there IMO.
  14. I am pretty sure my wife is getting me the 22* for Christmas. I play from the rough quite often and this club "spoke" to me. I also have a Fybrid for when I do manage to get into the fairway.
  15. My swing. I can bomb the ball out to about 280 and sometimes 300 yards but have a hard time keeping it straight. I'm ok with being twenty yards from the green in the rough as opposed to sixty or seventy yards out in the fairway. Just those damn sand traps... and the trees! Ouch!
  16. I look at the ball or just ahead of it. I think I could look just about anywhere and get the same results though. The key is to keep my head still and I might get a two putt out of that three footer. Actually, chipping and putting is probably my strongest suit. I am wicked long off the screws but can't seem to find the middle of the fairway half the time. Maybe I should close my eyes when I drive too.
  17. I am a registered respiratory therapist. I work at two hospitals; one of which is a level one trauma center and the other is a long term acute care facility.
