  1. I am going into the golf business. Right now, I am finishing up my degree and then most likely either attending PGCC or the Golf Academy of America. I almost went out to UNLV for their PGA Management Program, but I ended up going to college here in Michigan and now I'm playing college golf. I interned last summer at a golf club. I worked around 30-40 hours a week, and was involved in every aspect of the business there. The only disadvantage for me was staying at the course to play after you've been there all day. To me, that is the kind of disadvantage that I want with my career. I loved getting up early every morning and driving to work while the sun was rising. It was so awesome to be able to talk golf with everyone you come into contact with. The deals you can get working under a PGA Pro are awesome. The best part of the job were the times you did get to golf. On days off you can spend the morning golfing for free. If you really have the itch to play even after working 6-4, you can. I usually managed my time by golfing on days off and when I had the time on days I worked. When I worked long days, I just hit a couple bags of balls for an hour and then left. IMO, I think you should give it a shot. If you don't like it, then you can always find something else. It is definitely worth a try, especially for someone whose passion is the game of golf.
  2. Re-read my post. In the Bible it says that man was created in the image of God.. so I'm assuming God would somewhat resemble a human, or a man. I was trying to state the obvious that evolution tells us we came to be from something that previously existed. This completely contradicts what I believe in my Christian faith: "So God created man in His own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. -- Genesis 1:27. The Bible doesn't tell us that humans came to be over billions of years. Because of this, Christians cannot believe in evolution because it DOES contradict our faith and belief in God.
  3. In the Christian faith and in the Bible, we believe that God created man in His own image. Evolution contradicts this by saying we were formed from apes.. so by evolution stating something that doesn't agree with the Christian faith, it is therefore contradicting it.
  4. That becomes a problem when a Christian tries to justify their faith with facts.
  5. Silzildrummer, I don't agree with the Pope. Evolution contradicts the Bible and the Christian faith, I'll leave it at that.
  6. msd3075, I respect your post and understand it. The thing is, God tells me to have faith, not facts. I don't need to see Him to believe in Him. I live by faith, not by facts.
  7. Butch Harmon, those people who call themselves Christians are most likely hypocrites.
  8. What is believing? There are so many people that say they believe in Jesus. The way I see it, how can you believe in Jesus and not listen to what He commands? Sure, you can believe that he was a man that lived on the earth, but that doesn't mean you believe he died and was risen from the dead. My point is that when you truly believe Jesus died for you so that you would be forgiven and have eternal life.. there is no possible way you will go on living your life for the things of this world or not trying to obey everything He says. Jesus said no one comes to the Father except through Him. If that is true, then I'm going to live my life honoring and obeying hiim because I want to get to my Father, God. You can call me radical, extreme, or whatever you want. You can tell me my interpretation isn't the only one. I don't believe God put me on this earth to question Him . I use my "powers of observation and rational thought" every single day. I look at my family and rationally think that there is no way that God doesn't exist. I rationally think about the ways my life has changed in the past couple months and realize God is with me and all these things aren't by chance. How can I possibly be disgracing God by obeying Him?
  9. Forged -- Mizuno MP 58 or 57, Titleist AP2 Cast -- Taylormade Tour Preferred, Ping S57 Those are all somewhat forgiving player's irons.
  10. Taylormade is my favorite. I love how they have different clubs for all different types of players. Plus, I just got the MBs and I don't think I will ever take them out of my bag!
  11. Butch Harmon, nothing you have said in this forum is worthwhile. All you are doing is trying to persecute Christians and make fun of them. How does your statement asking me to go buy a dinosaur at the zoo have any credibility at all in this discussion? Shanks a million, a Christian believes that the Bible is the literal Word of God. You cannot be a Christian and not believe everything the Bible says.. it isn't possible. Christians believe that God's Word is perfect, and that God wrote the Bible. So to a Christian, the Bible is perfect and without error. "And I solemnly declare to everyone who hears the words of prophecy written in this book: If anyone adds anything to what is written here, God will add to that person the plagues described in this book. And if anyone removes any of the words from this book of prophecy, God will remove that person's share in the tree of life and in the holy city that are described in this book." -- Revelation 22:18-19. The Bible wouldn't state that right at the end if by chance the Bible was wrong. Choosing to follow Christ and believe in God is all about FAITH. It is not about facts. Like I said before.. NO ONE has all the answers. I don't care if the smartest man on the planet tells me that rocks make the universe a trillion years old.. I have my FAITH in my GOD and that is what I live by.
  12. Sergio over O'Hair in the championship. DJ over Poulter in the consolation.
  13. http://www.angelfire.com/mi/dinosaurs/behemoth.html http://www.missiontoamerica.org/gene...the-bible.html If you do your research, you will see that the word "dinosaur" was not created until 1841. The King James Version of the Bible was created in 1611. This was 230 years before the word "dinosaur" was created, so you can't expect to find the word "dinosaur" in the Bible. "Look at the behemoth, which I made along with you and which feeds on grass like an ox. What strength he has in his loins, what power in the muscles of his belly! His tail sways like a cedar; the sinews of his thighs are close-knit. His bones are tubes of bronze, his limbs like rods of iron. He ranks first among the works of God, yet his Maker can approach him with his sword. The hills bring him their produce, and all the wild animals play nearby. Under the lotus plants he lies, hidden among the reeds in the marsh. The lotuses conceal him in their shadow; the poplars of the stream surround him. When the river rages, he is not alarmed; he is secure, though the Jordan should surge against his mouth. Can anyone capture him by the eyes, and trap him or pierce his nose?" -- Job 40:15-24 To me, that definitely sounds like a dinosaur..
  14. +1 for the TM TP.
