  1. I think most people on this forum can relate with the day that you had. The best thing to do is putting things in perspective. You probably were super excited to play the clubs and that plus the weather being cold and your time off are all factors to crappy day at the course. Golf is a big picture sport and you have to remember that time is always the deciding factor in this great game we love. That is the big picture thoughts..time. Give yourself time to bounce back and jot down a couple of key reminders that cause you to hit shanks and other bad shots. Once you write down what causes those things, write down the fixes that you can focus on during your next round. Good luck!
  2. Taking notes during a lesson is a great thing. It allows you to "go back" to the lession session and review what was worked on when you practice on your own and is a great reminder book before you step on the first tee of your round.

  4. Give yourself time. You may have been soo excited to try it out at the range on the way home that you "over hyped" yourself at the range which promoted your slice. Then, you continued and it got worst because you probably felt terrible and very uncomfortable over the ball. I would suggest that you relax, go back to the range and relax and take your time. Good luck man!!
  5. I use the Cleveland CG15. It's a great wedge and if you use a softer ball, you can attack flags with the confidence that the ball will check up hard. The only problem with these wedges are 1. if you are a strong player, you may overspin the ball (depending on what ball you use of course) and 2. the zip groves tear apart the ball like crazy!
  6. Mizuno Mp57 or Mizuno MP32 I play the MP57's and cannot put into words how great they are...forgiving enough, workable and the feel is like sex when you hit it pure
  7. I hear ya man! The 60 deg can be a dangerous club if it isn't hit square. I use the 56 all around the greens..which reminds me, I need to buy a new one before the beginning of the season because my grooves are worn out!!
  8. Fair enough. Regardless, the G15's are fantastic clubs.
  9. This is the truth...I use my PW for my 140- 130 yard shot, my 52 degree for that 120-110 shot, my 56 for 110 in. My 60 is only ever used out of the sand or when I am short sided on a chip.
  10. I started 4 years ago and have never looked back!
  11. I agree with this. Being that the MP57's are less forgiving, they would force you to "swing better" with the instant feedback that you get from a bad swing. I find game improvement irons give a false sense of securtiy with a swing. If you hit it bad, it still flies good...that in my opinion is not a good measuring stick to where you are in your swing. Also, the difference in feel you are experiencing could be two things. A forged feel with minimal offset vs. a cast feel with a high offset (way less of the butter feel with a cast club) and the center of gravity on the club. The center of gravity on the G15's are much lower (promoting a higher ball flight) than the MP57's. That means that you will have to hit the club lower on the face consistently to get that nice feel.
