  1. Ive recently made a huge discovery at the driver range, last week i started off hitting every single club in my bag on a 140 yard hook. When i tried to stop my hook by taking a more outside swing path and standing a little closer I immediatly started bombing the ball. My average round was around 110 before this week when i went out and shot a 96, my first round below 100! Ive been working on it everyday since then, scheduled another lesson, and I seriously believe I can do even better than that next time out. Its amazing how one thing changed me from shanking to hitting the sweet spot every time.
  2. Check out your right shoulder angle at impact. It looks like you didnt like the path you took when you were at the top of your back swing and just tryed digging at the ball to hit it. Your shoulder in the first one went down but came back up just around impact. Maybe you could test out a little bit shorter backswing to see if you gain a little consistancy, it's pretty hard to stay consistent shot to shot when you take it far behind your head like you do, thats what works for me at least. Hope it helps.
  3. Played 18 on both Thursday and Friday and im pretty happy to see myself sunburned. Practicing today at a par 3 course and hoping to get out again on Monday. What a great week it has been!
  4. Actually went in to pick up the prize package I won at Golf Galaxy. They had a callaway weekend so i put my name in the box and ended up winning A Jaws 56* wedge, a dozen of the new i(z) balls and a new white ice putter :P
  5. The taylormade purelight stand bag is great and has tons of storage for its weight. Got mine for like 65$ on ebay brand new.
  6. Glad you found the fix to your hook! I used to have a wicked slice with the driver so the next time i went up for a lesson i told the pro my problem, so we worked on the driver for an hour or so. The next time I hit the range I was hooking the ball! Im still concerned that it;s a setup issue and not with my equipment. However, I recently tested the Burner superfast on the launch moniter and was bombing them down the middle. So I guess I have to hit the range a few more times and see what happens.
  7. Anything with Thomas Haake
  8. I've tested the burner superfast a few weeks ago and it increased my swing and ball speed a ton. On an average swing with my 2009 burner driver it's around 85-90 mph, with the superfast it was clocking me over 95 and i didnt lose any accuracy as some might think with the longer shaft. The lighter driver may not be for you but you should at least go test a few out to make sure. and for the body turn, it's all about slimming down your core .
  9. This is a great dvd. I would highly reccommend watching these videos, and if you have netflix you can grab it from them. His way of pitching is very usefull once you get the hang of it, the hardest part is keeping the same follow-through speed throughout every shot.
  10. I have just very recently gotten in to the game of golf at the age of 16. I think its great that fathers are trying to get their kids to play at earlier ages. While your son may not fully reap the benefits of a golf lesson I still think he can improve from one. I started off not being able to swing a golf club to being able to hit fairways and greens in a matter of weeks thanks to my PGA proffesional. Golf galaxy does great 1 on 1 junior lessons if there is one near you, they even make a video out of your lesson and post it on the web for you to go back to. If your son enjoys being able to crush a ball I think he could improve tremendously from a lesson. heres just an example of how golf lessons have helped me improve in just a few short weeks. http://www.v1sports.com/Academy/incl...swingid=352677 Hope I helped you out Jack
