How much does your local course charge for rentals? I'd like to get my girlfriend to come out with me but she doesn't like to hit my clubs because they are too long. If she tries out ladies clubs and likes them then that could be an enormous plus for me. Any idea?

yes but to be honest... we see that treatment as horrible while they are happy to have a job and earn SOME money...

im a very new player and have only broken 100 a total of 1 TIME... I drive with the new Superfast... Believe it or not it is one of the clubs I am MOST confident in. I don't swing for the fences I just try to put it in the fairway and I drive 260. The long length doesn't bother me one bit.

can't seem to get my private messages working... how were your lessons?
-
i went to the range today and had some good success... I noticed that my right and left feet weren't aligned properly... I had my back foot in front of my left (closer to the ball). I straightened myself out and wasn't slicing. My lessons start on SUNDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What is the difference between Burners and Burner HT irons?

im getting lessons later this month

im going to the range tomorrow to try to correct this before I play a round on Wednesday. I seemed to be more consistent when having a little more weight on my left foot at address. I will write down these suggestions and take it to the range tomorrow.

This doesn't make a lot of sense to me. Before a few days ago I was extremely confident in my 8 9 and PW. I would hit my best shots with those clubs. Now... I have an EXTREME slice (apparently a push slice). Occasionally I will hit a nice ball but equally as much I will hit a slice that literally goes a few feet forward then crazy right... Don't know what I'm doing and it is extremely frustrating... I broke 100 for the first time this passed week and I know without these clubs I'll have no chance of getting to my goal of consistently sub-100.

is it on the web anywhere?

okay i took your advice, went out to edwin watts this time.... had the cobra baffler, callaway x, and a nike victory red hybrid 3s hit the cobra first... decent results. hit the VR second... hit a long straight ball consistently. hit the X third... decent results. back to cobra... slice, then straight and short. finally the victory red again... 225 straight.... 230... straight and that was it. bought the VR aldila voodoo stiff shaft. very excited. Only one slot left in my golf bag!

thats the problem... they all felt generally the same :P

i'm a newer golfer and i can't hit my 3-wood to save my life... I slice the ball BAD just about every time. I think a hybrid club from the fairway will help my game and my confidence tremendously. I know most of you will say, don't worry about buying new clubs until your game is improved... but... i like new toys and have the money to burn on a new club. I went to Dick's today to test some clubs in the simulator: 1. TM 2. Cobra Baffler ($99) 3. Callaway Big Bertha Diablo I was hitting each of them 200+ yards but I was slightly more consistent with the Callaway. I didn't notice a hell of a lot of difference between the three. Naturally when it comes to buying something I am extremely indecisive. convince me which one to get!

a local course is offering a 6-week 'class' for only $119 should I try this prior to one on one lessons?

Some background before I ask: I started playing golf in September 2009. I immediately purchased clubs: Driver - 2010 Taylor Made Superfast 10.5* 3-wood - 2007 Callaway Big Bertha Irons - 2009 Taylor Made Burner Irons 4-SW Wedge - Cleveland CG12 56* Putter - Odyssey White-Hot 2-ball F7 Currently I am shooting around 110-115... I literally need to take a drop about once every other hole... It is also not unusual for me to 2 and 3 putt. The best part of my game is easily my shorter irons. My drives have absolutely no consistency whatsoever. I can really hit it far but I'll hit a fairway drive once in 8 drives... My swing speed is around 105-108mph. Questions: 1. I am now hellbent on getting lessons, I have the option of going to a guy named Rick Bradshaw(apparently very well regarded in the Tampa Bay area) for $85/hr or another guy whose name I don't know for around $35/hr. Do I pay the high dollar amount for my first few lessons or should I stay with the lower budget guy until I at least break 100? 2. Whenever I buy golf balls I am usually searching for low priced balls. I lose balls throughout the round so I'd rather not spend a ton. What is a good ball that I can use at an affordable price until I am better? 3. I'd like to add either a 5-wood or a hybrid club to my bag. Can anyone recommend what club I should go test out and add? 4. I have a Burner PW and a SW but I like my Cleveland wedge more. In the future I'd like to add a few more wedges. Recommendations? Thanks in advance
