  1. Well that's the question. Why did you change from the stock grips to a different one. And what are the benefits of it? I just bought on Ebay a 54* CG15 and it has a bulkier grip made by Golf Pride. Just wanted to know why people change their grips, and what is the benefits if there are any? Or if it's all just preference.....
  2. So if you don't mind me asking....if you grip the club tighter with your right hand it may be able to fix my slice? I keep having trouble staying consistant with my drives and I think this may be my problem......

So when I question any kind of rule, i need to pull out the rule book look it over with my buddies and then confirm that it was or wasn't illegal. While the people behind us wait on us to make a ruiling.....We're not playing for money or for championship points....we play for fun, to have a couple beers, and enjoy the outdoors....

Maybe I have to explain what I meant by that (didn't think I would have to) It's incredibly hard as an amature, to follow every rule in the book, especially every little technical rule. Until now I didn't even know that rule, that's part of being in a great forum like this, to learn new things. I didn't know that just because I didn't know every rule in the book that I couldn't have my own opinion or point of view.....
  6. I have only broken 100 once, how has your guys' game been since then....is it easy to break 100 more often after already accomplishing it once?

I think they were saying that he had never won as well....if that's the case that makes it very noble of him!

So just so I know the rule correctly. Only if it is deemed in a hazard does this rule apply? so if it is in play and not in a hazard could he have just removed it no harm no foul?

I totally agree with you hacker....I think unless it interferes with the ball itself, it shouldn't have been a 2 stroke penalty.....I know that when I hit into the trees and there are branches dead or otherwise, I don't take any of that rule into consideration.....it would be awfully difficult as an amature to follow every rule....

Really was a great round to watch all together. Especially when davis almost eagled on 18 before that. A lot of respect to him for calling himself on it.
  11. Well as many of you know I was in the market for a GPS unit. I bought a Callaway Upro, and I must say it is an incredible little device! It was within 2-3 yards of the cart GPS that I rode in today, and the fly overs were cool to watch. I only used it at my home course so I knew every hole. I had absolutly no issue with battery life throughout the round and I was tinkering with it the majority of the time. Thanks again everyone that gave me their input, and suggestions!
  12. How much does it cost to play there? I've always wanted to but I thought it was a private course....I wonder if they have some kind of a resort package as well? any Idea?
  13. I'm in the same predicament...I just dropped my 4 Nickent 5dx because I couldn't hit it for the life of me....and so I just put my three iron back into the bag....All I read is how incredible they hybrids are easy to hit and what great distance they have but i've never seen it.....
  14. That's funny LOL, that's almost like losing a driver.....how the hell would you lose either of those.
  15. HAHAHAHAHAHA hey man give him a break he's from pakistan!
  16. LOL true I guess I could bring my wedges to the range......would the fact that i'm hitting balls off a mat at the range have to do with my distances?
  17. Damn man I just had to beg my wife into letting me buy the 54* it never ends! LOL.....i'm currently concentrating on getting my driver to straighten out right now.....and then i'll work on my short game.....i find that if I have a straight drive off the tee it lowers my score tremendously......remember all of these yardages are just on the mat at the driving range so they may be different on the real turn of the course.....
  18. I would like to know this as well, mr. Satellite expert....
  19. BINGO! That's exactly it.....
  20. Am I doing something wrong? I can only hit my 51* 100 yards.....and my current 56 and 58 no more than 50 yards.....i haven't had a chance to hit the 54 yet, but am I just not strong enough or am I hitting my wedge's incorrectly?
  21. Couldn't be happier with the putter! I haven't had a chance to measure the gaps in the 54 and 58 as i just ordered it.....but I thought that a 4* gap between each would be good to start out with......if it helps any i hit the 56* and 58* approx the same distance unless I skull it of course lol
  22. I currently am gaming a 51* x22 approach wedge, a 54* cg15 and 58* cg15.....are these good gap's for my wedges? I also have in the bag a 56* niblick if my other wedges fail me, since it's easier to hit.....Any suggestions or does it look ok?
  23. Good to hear 2 stroke! I have been doing the drill lately where I place a tee in front of the ball and hit it.....haven't noticed much of a difference but in time I think I'll notice.....Glad you're getting back into the game!
  24. Any idea of the same drill can work for the driver?
  25. Yesterday afternoon while I was at the driving range, I noticed an instructor out there giving a lesson. He had this man with a head cover under each arm pit making swings with them there....what does this drill promote and what is the purpose of it? thanks for any help!~Chris
