  1. I just emailed the company. I will post their reply here.
  2. Thanks for your replies. It's probably a club that has a unit cost of about $5 and costs them about $5 to ship. They are probably making $20 per 'free' club they 'give' away.
  3. I played in a charity golf tournament this past weekend and won certificate for a hybrid club simply by hitting the ball onto the green of a Par 3 hole. The certificate is from Nizzard.com and the club is an SL-1000 Hybrid. There is a $29.95 shipping and handling fee. The certificate states the club has a $149 value, but I have my doubts. It seems like a promotional gimmick. I tried searching the web and there is literally nothing about this club. I personally don't think the club is worth the $29.95 shipping, but I'd like to know your thoughts.
  4. With that swing speed I would think you should have an extra stiff shaft with a high kick point. That may help reduce backspin.
  5. I'm pretty sure the squirrels are taking my ball when I can't find it. It's a conspiracy!!!
  6. I spent over $14,000 on softball bats in the past 12 months...I hear you. I also sell them and buy new ones like you do with your golf clubs. I'm actually up about $1,000 because I know how to find good deals and then sell for higher later (like the stock market). Now that I'm getting into golf, I sold a bunch of softball bats to buy the MP57s in my sig. How much for your driver?...
  7. For those of you who were dying to know...I chose Mizuno MP57s with Project X Rifle 6.0 (non-flighted) shafts. Thanks for your help.
  8. 1. Win the Masters If I fail at #1, these will be my 'back-up' goals: 2. Establish a handicap index 3. Practice more than I play 4. Play an entire round with only one ball
  9. Amare was called for a flagrant foul on this play...I don't see it.
  10. Nice work. I like the photos.
  11. My swing speed is 115 with a launch angle of 10*. I'm having an Aldila NV-65-X put on my driver. Is this going to be stiff enough. I'm a little worried that it won't be.
  12. I am also on a quest for new irons , but I'm not as experienced as you. I'm looking to get into the game more seriously. I definitely want a 'tour' style iron. I will work on honing my skills to be worthy of swinging that type of iron. Your 2-4 are on my list. I have to admit...I wasn't thinking about Mizuno irons until I saw how many people on here rave about them. If I could get some MP57s with a tour stiff shaft I would probably jump at it...but so far I can only find them with DG S300s.
  13. Yes...I played there once about 15 years ago. There was one hole that was so short I teed off with my putter. I didn't know about the good prices on clubs or the demo days. I will definitely check it out. Thanks.

    rc cars

I have a couple of RC10s that are at least 20 years old.
  15. OK...thanks for clarifying. The Red is the right one for me then.
  16. My budget is somewhat flexible. I can see myself spending $499 to $699. If I really think it's worth it, I will go higher.
  17. Thanks guys...this was great information and just what I was looking for.
  18. Yeah...the black pearl looks awesome. I don't even have a handicap established, but I want a 'tour' type club for the feedback it will give me. Ultimately I think a 'tour' type club will make me a better player...but what do I know...it could be a misconception I have.
  19. Here are some of the irons I'm considering: Cleveland CG7 Tour Mizuno MP58 Ping i15 Taylor Made R9 TP Titleist AP1 Titleist AP2 Are there any of these that I should not bother with or any that I should add to the list? Also, how do I know if they are forged or cast...and why are forged clubs better?
  20. These are great suggestions. I definitely plan on trying out some irons and having a fitting. I am so unfamiliar with the latest products that I don't even know where to start. Can you suggest 4 or 5 irons that I should try? Sorry for my ignorance.
  21. I'm going to sound like a major noob, but here goes... I started playing golf for about 20 years ago, but I have never taken the sport seriously . That is about to change as I am looking to get more into it. I played baseball in college and have a powerful golf swing, but it is not a very consistent one. I have taken a few lessons recently and the pros tell me that my biggest problem is that I have a decent swing but the wrong clubs. I had a club fitting and it was recommended that I get a set of irons with tour stiff shafts. My current irons are Spalding Molitor Regular Flex Steel shafts (old cheapies). My Callaway Big Bertha driver has a 55g shaft. It is labeled stiff, but aparently it is not...what do I know?? My driver: I carry my driver about 280 (on average) Swing speed is about 105 Ball speed is about 160 Launch angle is 10.0 Spin Rate is 2650 My 7 iron: I carry my 7 iron 160 Recommended lie on 7 iron is 61.5 (I think that is pretty standard) Recomendations for shafts are Stiff Flex Dynamic Gold X100, Project X 6.5. and KBS tour Stiff I'm 5'10 and 210lbs. Even though I haven't posted much, I've read quite a few threads to research this and I'm leaning towards player irons. I want to become fundamentally sound and I could care less what I score right now. It looks like Mizuno has a big following here. I'm looking for recommendations on irons and shafts. Thanks!!!
  22. This is good info here. I am just starting to take golf more seriously and have been wondering the same thing. I am leaning toward the player irons.
  23. I am an optometrist.
  24. I've had only one set of irons (10 years), but now that I'm getting into golf more I'm looking at getting a new set.
  25. I just bought the TP Red...I haven't used them yet though. I was under the impression that the Red had less spin than the Black...but it looks like I am wrong. If I hit the ball far, but with limited control (lots of hooks and occasional slices) would I be better off with the Black? I'm just getting into golf more so I will be asking a lot of questions here. Thanks for your help.
