  1. Then you should go locally for information and testing to figure out what you want, then you can buy on golfsmith....
  2. It really depends what your looking for. There are a lot of nice cast irons out there that will be a lot more durable than most of the forged offerings out there. If you have the cash and plan on recycling your irons every 2-3 seasons, you may want to look more into forged.
  3. Not really rougher. I just feel like the GP ones are just a bit "squishier" if that makes any sense...
  4. I've been using Sharpro grips for years, my local Golf HQ carries them over GP grips. In fact, just picked up a new set of Red Multicompounds today for half the price of the Golf Pride Multicompound. Essentially they are the same thing, I want to say the Sharpro grips are slightly firmer, but that's just my feeling....
  5. Update: 520 shipped.
  6. I just couldn't get used to the feel of not having the offset that my old irons had. I figured I would be better off selling them now if I'm not sure about them before they get any use.
  7. Price drop, this is really a steal!
  8. It's my understanding that the XG's have the conforming grooves. Do you have the standard G10's or the XG's, and how do you feel about them? I learned with a game improvement model, and my iron play was always the best facet of my game. Eventually switched to a players model, my driving has become incredibly consistent and I've gotten much more comfortable with my putting, but my iron play isn't what it used to be. For that reason I'm thinking of going back to a GI model...
  9. I was looking at Golfsmith's online custom fitting section, specifically at Ping irons. Right now the G10 XG irons are $62 per club, and the G15's are $87 per club. My question is, how much longer will the G15's stay at that price? I'm not sure how long they have been out in relation to the XG's. I can't see any reason to pay the extra for the 15's, but if they may go down soon I could hold off if I decide to make a purchase...
  10. I have 2 vokey wedges for sale. The 51 was a 52/8 that was bent by Titleist. The other is a 56/11. They are both new, I took the wrapping off and have swung them indoors, but they haven't touched a ball. Both have TT Dynamic Gold SL(R) shafts and are -1/2". I am willing to sell them together or separate, make an offer...They were purchased about a month ago.
  11. For sale are a set of Titleist 710 CB irons 5-PW -1/2" from standard True Temper Dynamic Gold SL R Flex Shafts Titleist Golf Pride Tour Velvet Grips I bought these just over a month ago. This past weekend I hit about 10 balls each with the 6, 8, and PW. The other clubs have been swung a few times(indoors only) and have not hit a golf ball.
  12. I got my Scotty Pro Platinum recently on Ebay. If you go that way, and really take the time and not just jump on the first one, you can end up in real good shape. I ended up paying 160 for my that was in near flawless condition...couldn't be happier. I'm not sure I could have fully enjoyed it if I paid 300 though....
  13. I think they look genuine. Looks like the paintfill was altered on the Pro Plat though...
  14. Don't you just love that Titleist winter hat!? I picked it up in the store and luckily I tried it on before I looked at the price! I had a gift card so it wasn't a big deal. It's the most expensive winter hat Ive ever purchased but well worth it....
  15. I don't have a bad club. I can hit good shots with any club in the bag. I only carry 12 clubs(plus my putter), I don't see the point in carrying another club, or I'd end up like you people and it would be my "worst club" and never get used. So whats the point of that?
  16. When I was taking up golf I wanted these soooo bad.......I always liked the older model irons better...
  17. Ha, I just saw that too! My fiance just got me an awesome bag for Christmas or else I would be all over this!!!!
  18. I won't give up my 3 wood or 5 wood, but I have a hybrid instead of a 3 and 4 iron. I don't hit a 3 or 4 iron enough, and my distance is more consistent with a hybrid. Another reason is that I have 4 degree gaps from 3 wood all the way down to my 51 degree wedge, so I see no reason to have a 3 AND 4 iron when I can put 1 hybrid in their spot...
  19. Do you have a picture? Most likely some kind of clone...
  20. A few months ago I picked up a pretty beat up pro platinum for about 100 bucks with the thought that I would send it to the Custom Shop to get fixed up. I got lazy and ended up selling it off for about what I paid for it. I've been looking for a new one since then. I came across this pro platinum today and got it for 165. It looks cherry, I can't wait to get it.
  21. I love the lab. I have a black one thats about 5 years old.....
  22. Let me know how you save 30 dollars on something that costs 15....
  23. They are okay, but I prefer Nike PD soft to these, and they are much cheaper. I'd rather pay the extra 4 bucks/dozen and get NXT Tour though
