Threads like this give the "Is golf really a sport?" argument some merit.

You would think but I bet you any native Philadelphian would tell you there are more sh!tty cheesesteaks in Philly than good ones. Sure, there are many golf schools available within a stones throw of the house but that doesn't make them good teachers.

Like the title suggests, I'm looking for a shop and or pro to get some good lessons from near the Palm Beaches. Basically first day beginner's lessons.

I don't understand what a yellow ball does that a white one can't. It isn't like the ball is moving. All I can think of is finding your balls bu wouldn't a white ball be easier to spot (in green grass) than a yellow one?

I've always wondered the same thing. I have yet to go to a big time golf tourny but sports are almost always more impressive in person. We're trying to convince my wife she wants some TPC @ Sawgrass tix for mother's day. I haven't had much luck yet.

OK, I thought maybe they were engineered to roll a certain way or something crazy like that. Technically an AR15 but yes. It is as close to an actual M4 as the feds will allow. Only thing missing is the select fire.

Thanks for the info, you're right about the driver. I was all over the place at the range Saturday. I'll see if I can tryout the SQ 3w and 3h this weekend. I bought my wife a set of Slingshots including hybrids and my kid a TW youth set.

I'm brand spanking new to playing the game of golf, haven't even set foot on a course. I plan on taking some much needed lessons as soon as I get my own set of clubs but I'm just not sure what to get. I went ahead and purchased a set of Nike SQ MachSpeed Irons (4-AW) to get things rolling for now. I figure I'll need a driver, some woods, wedge or two and a putter but I keep reading about these hybrids. Where do they fit in the scheme of things? Around the low iron/woods spectrum? What makes them a hybrid? What is the general consensus on Nike's new MachSpeed line of clubs. As much as I hat to admit it I am a brand wh0re. I can't remember wearing anything other than on my feet and can't imagine any other brand in my (Nike) bag. Thanks for the help. AP
