2. If you have a putter that works well for you consistently, dont change it for something new. Every putter is different and if you have something that works for you, keep rolling it. I use an old ping g2i putter that I have used for years. It is the longest ive ever used a putter and have no reason to change. Heck my friend still uses his putter from high school and we are 30 now.
3. Simple fix you can do. I have taught it to all my buddies and they all do it now when we play. Go through your preshot routine and when you address the ball with your club behind it, stand straight up and hold your club with both hands with your arms on your sides. I.E. if youre right handed your left hand will by your grip while the right hand is by the head and the shaft will be against your thighs pointing in the direction you are aimed. keep your arms there and adjust your feet until the club points to your target, readdress from there and pull the trigger. This lil simple tip will help you aim properly without checking over time. I swear by it.
4. One word...Fatigue. When you are physically fatigued is when bad habits start, whether its hips, tempo, etc. Stop at the turn take a quick break, grab a bite to eat or bring a banana or get a light sandwich in the clubhouse and a drink. This helps keep you energized for the second nine and helps you relax. The other thing that I have found is that on the back nine players tend to get into their own head and try to figure out what they could shoot for the round on hole 12. Take it one hole at a time to stay strong mentally, and a snack or two to stay strong physically. I do this and my back nines are generally lower than my front nines.
5. The avg. golfer's score is 100, so keep working at it and you will soon be an above average golfer. My advice to you is to really focus on your putting, chipping, and shots from 60yds and closer. You get better at these shots and your scores will really start to go low.
6.
Pfff 190 with an 8 iron is insane haha! My buddy only hits hard his wedges, with all the other clubs we hit more or less the same distance and we end shooting more or less the same scores. Greetings!
Ya man it is crazy when he does that!!! A while back he traded his irons for a set of Callaway X12s with graphite shafts and the first round he used them he broke two shafts off at the hosel since he pinches the ball so hard.
7. My opinion is Tiger needs to go back to having his thumbs under the club instead of on the side of the club. Ever since that change he has been snapping the ball left so much!!!
8. PW: 145 52: 130 54:120 58:110 My best friend hits his 58 degree 140 yards consistently. Ive also seen him go 190 with his 8 iron numerous times. But boy hes holdin on for dear life cuz no one knows where it is gonna end up. I rarely ever hit a full shot with any of my wedges. I will always step up to the next one and knock something down for better accuracy. He can drive it 330 all day long and shot his upper 80s. Ill take my 290s and shoot round even thank you very much.
9. It's really about your preference. A heavier shaft theoretically will help keep you on plane I suppose, but if you swing on a consistent plane you can go with a lighter shaft for increased speed. I have a 45 gram Mitsubishi Rayon shaft in my drive and absolutely love it cept the shaft cost 240 dollars!!!
10. I did not enjoy it at all. Thought it was pretty boring really. Whats funny is that Rice lost to LT and now he is going pro on the nationwide??? What a joke.
11. I have had none!!! I have had one hit the bottom of the hole and bounce out as well as a few lip outs. To compound my frustrations on this, I have two double eagles to my credit on par 5s. One from 214 and one from 170.
12. Two words...Tiger Woods...no one in the world can pull the shots off like he does as consistently as he does!
