NOPE you would think that but there is a reason why the Bedouin and other people in hot climates always wear long loose clothing that covers their whole body. I just played another 95 degree round with pants and i am a total convert now.

And I stayed cooler than when i wear shorts!!! So today i woke up and it was already 85 degrees out, so i was getting dressed and i noticed all of my golf shorts were dirty. I decided to wear my white Addidas clima-cool pants and WOW they were very nice out there in the heat. I am going to be wearing these more often.

I hit about 100 balls a day 5 days a week, most days i will split my bucket 40 balls SW/GW 30 balls short irons PW/9/8/7, 15 balls long irons and 15 balls driver and 3W. And 1 day a week i will just bring the SW. Far to many people concentrate on the driver waaaayyyy too much, Being proficent with your short irons and wedges will start turning those 2 putts into one puts.

When i go to my instructor we will work on one thing at a time because it is hard to concentrate on multiple swing changes at once and i am completely happy with my progress. What ever we worked on i will spend the rest of the week concentrating on that until it becomes second nature, you don't want to be overwhelmed

+1 I carry when ever i can, even though i would probably never need it but it is there incase i do need it. An armed society is a safe society. And to mcfc_nick, England's crime rate went through the roof when guns were outlawed.

These past couple weeks have been horrible with my driver, So here is my problem. I have a callaway FT-9 9.5 stiff shaft. I setup square with an interlocking grip and take my swing and then i produce a low hook. Then when i try to correct it by coming a little more outside in, I push/slice the ball on a high trajectory. What is weird is that after my swing i bring the club back down i notice the driver head is extremely closed and my my hands hands have rotated about 30 degrees clockwise. I have been wearing a brand new glove and I bought the club brand new this year. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Par 5's, Pars are almost automatic, with the occasional birdie thrown in there. So far i have 3 eagles this year on Par 5's

I NEVER give advice on swings , I hate it when i am having a bad day and some hack thinks he is a teaching pro and tries to help me. The only advice i will give to a complete stranger is, when i play with a new golfer and he is like a yard off the green and he keep on trying to use his sandwedge but he keep on catching it thin or fat I tell him to try to bump and run it with a 6-iron.

I know that amateurs are able to qualify for the US Open, but my question is if they make the cut and win money do they loose their amateur status? Or are they not able to collect the winnings?

Anyone can spin a ball but the the real skill is spinning the ball on command from tight lies and when it is actually needed.

420-450 is a good range it requires good ball striking on both shots

I have the same problem, my right pinkie is swollen pretty bad. It hurts a little the first few holes but then goes away. I hit about 500 balls a week and i interlock my fingers.

Looking for a Forgiving Fairway Wood

I love my Taylormade Burner 3W. It is hard to hit a bad shot with it. -
That would be the last place i would use a 64*, i am partial to the bump and run from that distance. I have a 64* wedge but i never put it in my bag anymore

I usually shoot low 80's consistently, i shot fine Saturday but Sunday i shanked every shot and completely blew up. I probably didn't even break 100 My chipping and putting were great but every drive and wood was either a duck hook or a slice, every iron was a bad push or a shanked it off the hosel and it shot straight right. I have been out to the range every day after that and i can not hit a solid shot to save my life, I might give up golf if i cant get out of this. This is soo depressing.

It looked like the bird exploded mid-air, we were laughing so hard after it happend

This happened in just a casual round of golf so it didn't matter but i was wondering what would happen in a competition. So i was teeing off right over a lake, and while my ball was in mid flight a huge crow decided to commit suicide and fly right into my ball. There were feathers everywhere and my ball fell straight down into the water. Would i drop a ball and take a penalty?

I love the TP blacks with LDP, that is all i play and i order them from lostgolfballs.com. But i get them at AAAAA quality, they look brand new.
-
I really dont use a 3 or 2 iron, If i am that far away i would rather just lay up for an easy wedge shot. I would rather play a wedge 70 yards out than have a possibility of hitting out of a greenside bunker.
-
4 birdies and they were all on par 5's

Well i do not like my PW so i was looking for a clevland wedge at 46 degrees and everyone is sold out, is it possible to buy a 50 degree wedge and have it bent to 46 degrees?
-
You are forgetting a lot of variables like if you are hitting from an elevated Tbox, the type of ball used, how hard and fast the fairways are and roll. And i measure my distances using GPS
-
I used to caddy when i was younger. Every once in a while i would have to forecaddy it sucked , I was always worried that I was going to get hit by a ball. And then one day SMACK right in the leg.

I agree too, sometimes when i play courses that require a cart (beacuse of the distance between holes) I will unstrap my bag from the cart after i tee off and walk the rest of the hole. A ranger got on me once about it but i explained to him that walking was faster than riding but he told me to ride anyways.
