I walk when I can...most courses around here have a good bit of distance between green and t-box. I find when I walk I play better...especially when I walk up to the green, I can see the breaks and slopes much better.

Seeing as I just bought a new Titleist, and my max swing speed was 115mph, this is good news to me.

Ok...I figured out why I can hit this thing. They gave me the Project X 7A3 shaft instead of the 7C3 shaft. I don't have the swing speed for a 7.0 shaft. I was wondering why everything was going right even w/the most draw setting. Back to the range tomorrow..

Just picked it up...D3 8.5*, Project X shaft. Set to B2...although I may change that. Of course my curse continued, if I demo a club I hit it like a pro...as soon as I buy it I suck. I think this time I believe I was trying a bit hard, I didn't feel relaxed...plus it was 27degF and snowing. Craig

Just ordered a 910 D3 8.5deg w/the Project X shaft. I was hitting a 907D2 9.5Deg with the UST shaft. My old driver has some serious spin...highest number I saw today was ~3200. Swing speed w/the 907 was 114-116MPH. The 910 w/the PX shaft produced spin ~2400-2500 and around 108MPH. Should have it in two weeks or so. I would have like to have the RIP shaft work, I liked the looks of it. Does anyone know if the driver includes the wrench? I forgot to ask.. Thanks

So the face looks good after 10 rounds? How many balls hit? I would guess at most 14 per round, 140 total...any range time? My fear is that range balls will beat the snot out of that finish. I suppose if you hit the sweet spot every time it wouldn't be that bad. My luck would be one bad shot off the toe and there would be a constant reminder of a poor swing. Either way, I'm going to buy this driver...I think...I'm going to the range again tomorrow to hit it again.

My wife was at the range when I demo'ed the 910 D2...she said I hit that much, much better than my old driver...then she asked when I was going to buy it. I love my wife..

I demo'ed the 910 D2, 9.5 w/the RIP shaft, set to neutral...didn't go thru a fitting, yet, but this driver is sooo much better than my 907 D2. From the look, sound, feel, ball flight...and I believe extra distance. I plan on going thru the fitting sometime after Christmas, but I do like the feel and look of that RIP shaft...something about an all black driver. Does anyone have any ideas on how well the coating on the face will stand up? I put a few ball marks on it w/20 or so swings, but didn't see any scratches.

Shortest Drive? Well, it's been awhile since I hit this short, but back a few years ago I only got it out about 320ish. But that was into a fairly strong wind...and it was winter...and it was a beat up range ball.

Got paired up with two guys...one of them had only one leg (Pretty decent swing for one leg)...any, one leg guy pisses off his friend in the middle of the fairway. Two leg guy drives away and leaves one leg guy in the middle of the fairway. Since I was walking...all I could do was make small talk as one leg guy hopped down the fairway to the green. Happened two more times during the round.

I have the same problem...I hit the demos like a pro, but as soon as I buy one and put it in the bag it takes a few months to get comfortable. I get the same results when someone hands me their new club...I can hit any shot with a club that I don't own. That's one of the reasons I liked Second Swing (used club store). They let you try out clubs on the course...hit them great as well, until I bought it. Stupid brain, it's always getting in the way..

I want to hit the driving range cart...they just got a new one and it appears that there are not any good ball strike marks on it...I want to be the first!! BTW...this is at Laurel Golf Center in Laurel, MD. I'll be the guy pulling my driver every time the cart goes out..
