  1. My in-laws dont have snow either (they live hour and 45 mins from Champaign), I cant wait to visit again to get a couple holes in...
  2. I have been using birdie ball for a while now and love them... I pretty much only use it to practice wedge shots but can take a full swing with a 9 iron and not hit to out of the yard. It gives off a wind tunnel sound when you hit it right, and like other have said, they will slice and hook and let you know when you hit it wrong.
  3. Lucky, here in Champaign we still have snow on the ground...
  4. If its a pretty flat lie I will use my 8i and do a little bump and run to the green, if I am worried that a bump and run wont work then I will use my 54*, and if I need to get the ball up I go for the 60*. I use a putter stoke for all my chips and that has really helped me out quite a bit...
  5. My Mom owns a truck accessory store, she took it over in the late 1980's after my Grandpa. She has the same farmers coming back every couple years because she is honest and doesn't sell junk like some of the other places in town. I worked there when I was going to college and love being able to have access to a lift lol.
  6. I am thinking about buying some under armor and a ski mask and try and bite the bullet to run in zero degree weather. I dont now if I should try the P90x after we put here down because I dont know if that will wake her up or not, that and I am usually in bed around 9 after we put her down. I might give that a shot also, because I know the P90x really works and if I mix it in with running could show some nice results... I just hope it wont wake the baby lol.
  7. All the room that we had is gone now, its now the baby room, I have an exercise ball and thats about it...
  8. Okay so last year I got married (gained 15lbs), then 5 weeks ago had a baby girl (add about another 10lbs). I use to run two miles every other day but got away from that and now its getting a little to cold outside for me to run... It would probably take me about 20-30 minutes to run the two miles and doing push ups and sit ups that I use to do. I need some kind of work out routine I can do that will keep me in shape (just tone not bulk) and stop me from becoming a blob... I have the P90x at home but I leave for work a 5:30am and when I get home I watch the baby... I tried waking up at 3:50am to start doing the P90x but after having the baby I am just worn out, and find it really hard to wake up that early. Does anyone have any workout routines they do that doesn't involve free weights (don't have room for them) and can be done within 30 minutes or so to help get tone and lose weight? Or should I stop being a baby and just wake up at 3:50am to do the P90x?
  9. I agree with the Ping G series, I have a set of G10's and hit them great. They definitely look better in person than they do online...
  10. I got some Ping G10 irons 4-pw And bought two oil can Vokey wedges 54*-60* for my Christmas present from the wife lol.
  11. Got out and played Ramsey again before heading home, nasty misty rain but had fun!
  12. What was I saying lol, I have been attending to a 4 week old so that has been taking some attention away lol. My old set of irons were Ping Eye's and I hit those high also... I was worried about the G10 really making me hit it high but it actually didnt change anything. Like I said I havent hit the Nike's but have nothing but good things to say about the G10's
  13. Congrats on the new set of irons... As for the driver I bought a Cleveland Hibore XLS 10.5* and love it. I have never really been very accurate off the tee but after hitting this club for awhile I am getting my driver down pretty well. The other good thing about this driver other than it being very forgiving is its cheap. I found mine used in great condition for 85 shipped to my door.
  14. Played today in Ramsey (at the inlaws), and it was pretty nice out... I hope to play again tomorrow before we head back home to Champaign. I am trying to talk some people into playing Stone Creek Sunday morning sometime but I have no idea how the weather is going to be.
  15. My old set of irons were Ping Eye's and I hit those hit also... I was worried about the G10 really making me hit it high but it actually didnt change anything. Like I said I havent hit the Nike's but have nothing but good things to say about the G10's.
  16. I have the G10's and really enjoy them, but cant say anything for the the Nike full cavity though...
  17. I am going to try and get a couple rounds in today and tomorrow while I am here visiting the inlaws down by Vandalia...
  18. Only 25 with cart for Stone Creek?? I might have to check it out when I get back in town. I might be able to talk some of my buddies to play if it stays in the 40's...
  19. I think next year I will play Stone Creek, I just hate paying the price for it when there are other courses out there for a ton cheaper... Its probably one of the closer courses (10 minutes) but to expensive...
  20. I played yesterday at Blue Needles and it sucked lol. Had 17-20 mph wind, then it started to mist, what happened to the 63 degree weather we were suppose to have yesterday? I think my clubs will be put up when it get to be around 40 or so, I dont mind the cold to much.
  21. ks8829 trust me, you would rather have a plasma, LCD, or LED than a projector. Once you go through the hours on the projector lamp you will have to buy a new one which probably cost about 350-500 bucks. So after every 2000-2500 hours you will have to spend 350-500 bucks for a new lamp. Even then the lamps could still blow at 1000 hours, you just never now. I am a audio visual tech and I run into this stuff all the time, departments want projectors but when it comes time to change a lamp/maintenance they panic because of the cost to upkeep it... Just a little heads up if you do decide to go that route...
  22. 9 iron on a 518 yard par 5. I don't know what happen with the drive, if I really hit it that far (the fairways where rock hard) or if I hit a sprinkler head and got a good bounce...
  23. I cant believe how disrespectful those guys were, it makes you wonder how people are raised... If I heard what was going on I definitely would have help you out by getting a police officers myself so you would have had to miss a minute of the game you payed for.
  24. Anyone that has been around Champaign, IL knows about La Bamba's! You get get a burrito as big as your head, and it will fix any hangover you might have lol.
  25. Nothing special but today I hit a nice drive about 270ish, a really nice wedge shot from about 120 yards out about 6 feet from the hole, and a nice little put for a birdie.
