  1. This one’s pretty entertaining. And some good nuggets along the way - Daly is very, take it one shot at a time, and keeps repeating it.
  2. Birdied the final hole on my home course today. It’s always been a bogey in the past so this felt great. Aggressive swings to conservative targets: hit a big drive, followed by a partial wedge to 2 feet. The Dan Grieve partial wedge setup system worked! Thrilled with the outcome.
  3. I think I will buy this book. I thought I knew how to chip but recent days on the course have shown I don’t know how to convert a nGIR well enough yet. Been practicing based on his YouTube videos and it has been helpful. I think the book will be a good reference whenever I veer off course. As mentioned above by @Ty_Webb I also really like Dan’s system of using setup to get pitching distance dialed in (saw in a YouTube video from him). Struggling from 30-90 yards was the main reason I looked at this videos. I just need to get my launch down and hopefully the book describes how to a bit better. I will say, the card dealing technique from @iacas in LSW is probably the best description I’ve ever heard for pitching and I try to use that on the back swing for release 2.
  4. Would love to hear thoughts on this:
  5. Well, on the second hole yesterday, the head of my 7i broke off and flew half way down the fairway. I guess too much repeated trauma… I am likely going to get a new set of Maltby clubs since the price can’t be beat. The irons/shaft I’m using now were off the rack and don’t seem right for me. Will likely go with the STI2 and just need to decide on a shaft. I’m headed to Ottawa in 2 weeks where Maltby have a shop and do fittings. Hopefully I can get in and pick the right shaft for me from the paks they offer. Hard to beat the price, especially at this point in my golf journey.
  6. Currently taking lessons with @iacas and the main thing we’re working on or have to keep coming back to is “flow”.
  7. I think the one guy was scratch before and trying to get back, while the other is a ~10 handicap but has more realistic goals. It does top my list but took a few episodes to really get into. And I skipped their little friends tournament episode…
  8. I recently stumbled upon the missing links golf shoe and have really been enjoying it. As their description says it’s two guys in Australia around 50 with a goal to get into a senior amateur competition. one of the more enjoyable golf podcasts. They talk a lot of sense golf wise, actually seem to be improving their game, and have a lot of interesting guests. Also some genuine banter and humor that always makes these types of shows more entertaining. The Missing Links Golf Show Two guys either side of 50 with plenty of life experience and big dreams embark on a quest to... Anyone else listen?

  10. Not particularly. Just an enjoyable golf match and fun to watch a tour pro swing a club and hit the ball compared to an amateur. 🙂 Some little things here and there I picked up from Richie but will be obvious to others (like you) Continuing the theme of being old and grumpy, I like this style of YouTube golf much more than Good Good etc
  11. I saw this the other day. Pretty cool stuff. I just hope it isn’t over done with too much info on the tv screen. Sometimes it’s nice to just watch the shot being hit. I watched a bit of the NHL playoffs and there was way too much info on the screen and the second commentator in soccer analyzing everything in detail during the match drives me crazy. But maybe I’m just becoming an old grumpy guy
  12. I enjoyed this video. Mansell is on the DP World Tour and it was a pleasure watching him strike the ball. He also talks Jimmy through some of his decision making process when Jimmy is in a tough spot.
  13. Day 105. Played in a scramble. Hit some really committed shots and happy with that.
