I played 9 holes this evening at the municipal. It has 5 par 4's and 4 par 3's. For the first time I got under 60 with 58. I nearly had a par, my best was 2 over on a par 4. Janine

I get told to focus on half swings or less than half until I am hitting the ball straight most of the time. When I try full swing I look silly and usually miss or mess up the shot. Janine

Wow I doubt I'll ever be able to hit that far. 250 yards is good.

@DaHolla I hope to get to full swing one day. I'm told I am just doing under half swing, when I try full swing I just hit the ground and miss the ball and look silly. Janine.

Hello everyone, Decided to join this forum as I've recently taken up golf. I joined my local club after playing at the municipal course a few times and before that just having fun at a driving range. I don't hit the ball very far, with a driver I manage 160 yards if I don't fluff it. I'm a media studies and photography student. Looking to make new friends and pick up some golf tips and stuff from the pro's on here. Apologies for any dumb questions. Janine
