  1. There are lots of different websites out there - just do a search for golf resorts and your location and google will do the rest. You can also find some good information on this forum about specific resorts. There is a website http://www.fodors.com/news/story_1834.html which shows the top 10 golf resorts ever (in their opinion!)
  2. I hadnt heard about this! is this for real? his game has been really off, but it sounds like his football game isnt much better! He looks in reasonable shape in the picture. I wonder if he was Club Captain for Real Madrid if he still would have got a game?!!
  3. This is a good list and very useful but sometimes i find myself over analysing information which tends to make me over think the shots. When I first started playing I was almost as good as i am now because I played by feeling, sometimes i think its good to go back to that and forget about the 'why' and the 'how'. Just my opinion.
  4. I think the sound is not important although it does sound good on the TV! What sort of distance are you getting on your drives? what is your swing speed like?
  5. And lets be honest some of the public courses are pretty reasonable when you consider what you pay for a round v's what you pay at a poncy country club. I'd prefer to spend my money on a few rounds, a nice meal and a few beers on a decent municipal course than splash out on 9 holes at a 'posh' course. Although i do admit I like to go on golfing holidays in Europe where i've played a few of the private courses which are beautiful. I played a public course in Vancouver, Canada - don't know where exactly and it was stunning.
  6. The good thing is once you've got your first you'll normally find they come a bit easier - you know how to do it now and you've broken the seal so to speak. As for the ball, I think your wife might be right, if the ball really made the difference i'd continue to use it, it obviously works!
  7. Wow thats an ecletic mix of different strategies, i more with the 'did I lock my car' but I like the idea of thinking about how hard you would need to roll the ball by hand to get it in the hole - good tip. I tend to line the put up and try and work out the lie of the land before closing my eyes, praying to the golf gods and doing what I do best 'hit and hope'!
  8. For me its about putting and understanding the lie of the green and learning to play with it rather than against it (which I usually do!)
  9. I lose more than I find! I think about the only thing I managed to find was a bent (in fustration probably) putter!
  10. Welcome, I've just come back from Australia - didnt make it to NZ this time but it is a beautiful place full of great people!
  11. 100 - terrible day! just wasnt working for me and kept getting distracted. Think its back to the drawing board (one reason why im here!)
  12. I run a golf clothing apparel shop in St Andrews Scotland amongst other ventures
