  1. You'll hit the loft alot more than the 3, it's as easy as that.
  2. I've always considered my SW, just that, something for the sand. If you hit it well with that much bounce, maybe you should look at a higher bounce wedge. I have a buddy stationed in Cheyenne. Haven't been there yet though.
  3. I would never buy a JAP brand myself, but having hit them they were nice, I feel the T/M's are the best for ME out of your choices, although out of all those listed I'd have the Cobra as #1 but that's not a choice, but it fits ME the best.
  4. Nope not yet, mainly b/c it's right down the road from the course my brother-in-law co-owns (Creekside). So I get to play there pretty cheap.
  5. Well, I'm 28, played golf since I was 8 in Metro Atlanta. Played wilson JR set, and some MacGregors and West Georgia Golf Company custom clubs (cheap) for the last 14 years. I've played many courses in Atlanta, Turtle Bay, HI once, a few 'executive' courses in Florida. Some vacation golf in SC and Florida. My brother-in-law is part-owner of a club in metro Atlanta and grew up on 4 different courses, still play 3 of them today. I played Bobby Jones qutie a bit in college. I've been a USGA member off and on, getting back into it by buying some new irons, leaning towards to cobra fp's although the r7's fell grea. (If I buy new irons it will justify me playing more golf) I'm now about a 11+ handicap depending on the course, best under USGA was a 5+. I'm not so much a preppy golfer(not saying many here are) I grew up on 2 private courses, where I'm from you hunt almost as much as you golf. I'm the guy that shows up at the club with the cat-less, super-charged Mustang that parks next to the BMW M-3, I like my beer(but drink plenty of scotch) and play with a can of snuff in my back pocket rather than a stogie in my shirt. Day 2 Day I'm a software engineer who works in Atlanta. Anyway, great forum and look forward to using y'all's advice and tips to improve my score.

You can buy $200 running shoes but you won't run faster until you've trained for it.

    Sunglasses

I wear cheapo walmart glass but I make sure I get polarized ones. Not that they matter on the course, but I'm on the lake and river alot in the summer and I tend to lose the good ones in the water, I have yet to lose a cheap pair, go figure.
  9. Late in the course, I tend to get tired and don't bring my hands thru on my driver, club face stays open, ball goes OB
  10. I have ps3, dad has xbox 360, played them both on each system. They play quite differently. Haven't played with a Wii yet.
  11. Thankfully, I've never seen or heard someone personally, really cheat. Some improve their lies but the shitty shots are the fun ones.
  12. I play 3 regularly, I grew up on http://www.brookstonenewhomes.com/Lifestyle/default.asp I'd call this one home now http://www.cobblestonegolf.com My brother-in-law is part owner of this one that I play quite a bit http://www.creeksidegolf.com/ I still play all 3
  13. Not to change subjects but ..... I grew up playing my irons off the tee on the ground. If I was in-between I'd use a broken tee. I still play my irons off the tee on the ground regularly, anyone else do this?
  14. I grew up playing golf myself. However, growing up, my area's sports were golf, soccer, and baseball in the spring. After I got cut from baseball freshman year, I went to golf. The next 3 years I played soccer. It was mainly a social thing for me. Living in(then) rurual Georgia not many friends played golf. Looking back I wish I would have just stayed with golf. Probably could have gotten in to a D-2 school at the least. Good Luck!
  15. Had my first one done at 24, tore it wakeboarding on the lake. Still gives give me aches. Until I hurt it I thought I was superman and my Dad's had 3 surgeries on his knees for playing football. glucosamine has been my best friend for 4 years and I often ask God why he designed the knee the way it is? Just not practicle....IMO,
  16. I usually go odd/even myself, going up from 9..... but I always make sure I take PW shots after drives, that's the usual order anyway.
  17. I hit the R7 today, along with the cal x-20, titleist 755, and cobra fp on the simulator. Out of all the clubs the T/M felt the best, although I hit the cobra fp's alot better, on average 15 yards longer. swing speed and ball speed were pretty close. I didn't like the 755 and the cal's felt a lil clunky. I'm going to keep go back to the simulator and probably demo a set or two in the next couple of weeks. I want to take my time to make sure I get the correct club for me.
  18. don't think you could wear those in humid weather, like the south.
  19. Well.... my most memorable golf shot wasn't mine. It was one a buddy took. We were playing 12-year old Juniors tournament. He was middle fairway, I was about 20 yards farther and on the right. green/pin was on the left. I was standing maybe 10 yards in front but about 25 yards to the right. He completely shanked the ball and it drilled me in the rib cage. Hurt like Hell, learned my lesson
  20. I use an older Callaway Steel Head
  21. I'm a software developer, mainly write application software for railcar tracking using RFID technology
