I purchased a dozen this week and used them on Wenesday and today. I have to admit i think they are a great ball, very easy to trace, with a lot of feel around the green. They are very easy to spot in the distance and also easy to find if in light rough, I do find they scuff with my wedges although they are far more durable than other premium balls I have used in the past, they cost me £33 for a dozen and as I can get 2 dozen trispeeds for £27 I will probably only use them in comps etc for the time been until I find myself at a level and able to spend that sort of money on a dozen balls.

Hi, i used them for around 3 months and at first thought they were great, maybe it is me but i found after time I was getting no better with them. My neck and shoulder had healed at this point and I was swinging fully so I went back to my old Callaway Hawkeye's ( what a club! ). The only time I get a problem now is when I carry, very rarely but it does happen and I get a pain down my neck and across my shoulder and the only thing I can put this down to is carrying. I do use a powakaddy sometimes to combat this :) My dad is still using them, he says he will probably never change them as they have really helped him get the ball in the air. I have never had a problem getting the ball in the air as I have always been able to strike the ball well, I hit a 6 Iron around 190y with a high flight so maybe the widesoles just was not right for me. What I do know is this, after all these years from when they 1st came out my dad is still using them and has had no problems with them so they must be good :) Is there anyone near you who can check you out and maybe match and taylor the clubs for you ?

It helped him in Arizona thought didnt it!! :)

I had a car accident 8 years ago which stopped me playing for a couple of years due to a damaged neck and shoulder. When i eventually returned I purchased some of the Fusion widesoles just as they were brought out to the public, after a few months I struggled to hit them at all, I gave them to my Father who is now 67 and has trouble playing due to illness. He loves them says he has never been able to get the ball in the air so easily without really putting any power into his swing. the only thing I find with Callaway and people are probably going to step up and shout at me now, is they have started to downgrade the shafts and metarials used over the last year or 2 and you are now paying for the name. My apologies to people who dissagree but in the UK I find this is something of a common nature at this time with a lot of manufacturers. i do find from talking to other players at the club they do rate cleveland and Wilson equipment. Good luck with your choice :)

I have been using a powakaddy for a few years now, and I love it. I mix between carrying and using the electronic trolley for different reasons, what is the weather like etc, i hate carrying in the rain. Also if I have had a late night before I am playing I tend to use the powakaddy. In comps i always use my Powakaddy due to been able to carry wets, etc cloths and food etc depending how long the day is going to be. Everyone shouls have one lol Good luck with you new trolley :)

I purchased some Trispeed tours a couple of months back and now its the only ball in my bag, everything else was given to friends to get rid of them. Try them and you will realsie just how good they are.

My apologies I think I was been alittle picky, its just one of the very few things I have a habit to grind down on. :)

Bought one a couple of weeks ago now and I love it!!! Best driver i have ever owned.

I dont mind slow play if there is a good reason for it, ie - in a comp and people are taking more time etc thats understandable but your situation I can totally agree with its annoying. I really hate it when I watch members from where I play sitting on there 2nd/appraoch shots waiting for the green to clear although there is no chance they will hit it even if they make good contact and i am sat on the Tee waiting for them to move on.

Been using Golfshot on my iphone since last year, I paid £17.99 for it and have to admit its the best thing I have ever used. Not only for the GPS but for the statistics it gives you after the round. There is also another App which I have been sent for free with Paul Azinger which connects through to it and lets you know what areas of your game you need to work on. When I see people walking around the course with skykaddies and goldbuddies for over £300 it makes me chuckle to myself to be honest as I have everything for so much less, dont get me wrong i am sure the people with the other items might not have an iphone etc

Expensive putters, are they worth it
Chris G replied to bigbear43's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
I think out of all the clubs in your bag, individual wise. the putter is the 1 club you should not worry about how expensive it is or how cheap it is. You use it the most out of any club you will own. Average 2 putts per hole it puts you on 36 putts a round, no other club comes close. If you find one you really like buy it!! It could be worth getting fitted up for a putter and maybe getting a putting lesson or allignment lessons where they video you and point out any problems etc, I had one and the putter i ended up with I love. I was previously usng a scotty newport. Good luck :) -
It cracks me up how a cover can cause so much "angst" between everyone lol. hes a young kid who wants to be defferent from everyone else, good luck to him hope he gets his first win soonas he really is a good player.

I Love to watch the Euro tour every weekend on Sky, and then in the evening the PGA Tour, i do find i prefer the euro tour. Maybe that is a little biast been from the uk, one thing i would love to have on is more of the ladies events, simply because my daughter has now been playing since November and has already made a place on the Academy for the south west already, i feel if they televised more of the LPGA or the Euro ladies tour she might decide to watch or take even a bigger interest in this, also at the same time clubs may find they get an increase in Junior girls memberships.

After taking it out today all I can say is wow! Very happy with it, I could not fault the performance. i hit 12 fairways today the most I think I have ever hit, and we have 4 par 3's on the course, so missing 3 is great at my level. The club is heavier than my r7, but through the swing and at address it gives so much more confidence. Next to make sure I prefer the standard set up then to put my own shaft and grip on.

I tend to use the range less nowadays, I think its good to go regular for practice but you have to make it benficial, a lot of players just goto a range and smash away at the balls not doing anything to help themselves. I always start with a mid iron, use allignment rods and go for targets. Sometimes try a different ball flight although I am crap at curving the ball flight intentionally. then move onto long irons through to a driver and fairway woods etc. Someone once told me "goto the range for practice" and go on the course to play. I use this advice and saw some good advice the other week in a post on here in dont aim for the flag, aim for the green and your shots will fall off - it works beleive me. I also hit the range if i have a problem while on the course, if I am miss hitting or just generally dont have a clue whats gone wrong, i get on the range afterwards to try and sort it out. Good luck with your practice!

I just purchased an R11 this morning, 9* Stiff, I couldnt wait to get to the range tonight. All I can say is OMG!! it sits perfectly at address and is so easy to line up. I played around with the weights, sole plate and shaft, after an hour of hitting balls I have left it as the standard set up. I tried it first on one of the projector machines and liked it so much I took a big gamble and parted with the cash. My old driver iis a R7 CGB Max and i have loved it since purchasing it 2nd hand a couple of years ago. I am playing in a comp tomorrow and cant wait to get out there, next week i will most likely be sorting a new shaft as I think that is one of the most important things. Only problem i see is if i put a new grip on with the allignments on it, when you change the shaft setting into club head for loft it will off set the grip, but once settled I am sure I can live with this. The paint finish is matt and I noticed some people on here saying about getting dirty, i dont think this will be a problem as after hitting it tonight it cleaned up just like any otherpaint finish with no problems.

Amazing finish, you could see at the interview afterwards he had confidence to go out and score well tomorrow, GL to him hope he gives us another good round to watch,
