ADMIN: Post stricken and/or hidden as incorrect. Please see next post. The Laws of Ball flight Here are the 5 ball flight laws that determine the flight of every shot that we hit. If we can learn to perfect these influences within the swing we can influence the golf ball to do what we want it to do. The ball does not always tell us what we want to hear, but it never lies. The ball is always reacting to one or more of these influences. Fixing your ball flight will come from correcting one or more of these faults. Golf Club Path Golf Club Face Angle Angle of Approach Golf Clubhead Speed Centeredness of hit on the golf club face Path of the Golf Club Greatest influence on golf ball-flight: Initial Direction Set up flaw: Alignment, Ball position, Grip, Greatest influence from the swing: Shoulder rotation, too slow or too fast not returning to square shoulder position at impact. Clubface Angle Greatest Influence on ball-flight: Curvature of the ball in the air. Greatest Set up Flaw: Grip, Aim, Alignment. Greatest influence from the swing: Manipulation of the hands. Clubhead Speed Greatest influence on ball flight: Distance. Greatest influence set-up: Grip, Alignment, Ball Position Greatest influence from the swing: Release, Forearm rotation, length of arms, strength, co-ordination, line of compression, applied force from pivot of the mid-section and linkage of the mechanics.

try this drill take a basketball or volley ball something in that dia. place it between your elbows and put your palms together without moving your lower body rotate your hands, shoulders until you are looking over your left shoulder and then rotate all the way to your follow through
-
Other things---Clubhead goes in/behind you a bit early in the backswing. Left elbow separates from you torso and club shaft goes across the swing plane at the top of your backswing. You address the ball with your head well behind center and have a significant upward tilt of your shoulders. I'm sure you've been doing this a long time with good results, but centering your head more at address with more level shoulders might give you more consistent ball contact.[/QUOTE] thats one of the things we are working on has to do with my flying elbow when its pinned my club shaft is not wrapping around my head. ball position actually is where it should be on your swing and the shoulder tilt is on as per the numbers they use at golftec its a swing in rebuilding

swing looks good work on moving your hands arms and shoulder all in one motion this will create a bigger back swing because of more shoulder turn and in return more distance

longest played 250 at several courses some info fore ya A typical par-three hole is less than 250 yards (225 metres) in length, with a par-four hole ranging between 251 and 475 yards (225–434 metres), and a par-five hole being longer than 475 yards (435 metres). Although uncommon, par-six and even par-seven holes do exist and can stretch well over 650 yards (595 metres).

i would get a set of tour edge exotics custom fitted had mine done for just over 500 and that included the fitting plus they have a lifetime Warranty -
shoulders look better if you notice on your take away your hands move first then the shoulders hands and shoulders should move as one unit which will allow you a wider shoulder turn when your hands are belt high your shoulders should be almost 90 degrees (your back facing the ball) DRILL put both hands together in front of you as if your swinging a club keeping your hips still rotate your arms you will notice how much your shoulders will turn
-
take a look at your back the number you have on it shows throughout the swing which means your shoulders are not square at address bring your left shoulder in by laying a club shaft across both shoulders to aligen them with your feet and hips

Missing off the toe habitually with irons
HAVOC replied to Leftygolfer's topic in Instruction and Playing Tips
im 5 11 and when i had my club fitting they had to extend them 1.5 in and rebend them back to std i still catch them on the toe once and awhile but my swing does feel alot better """"With the driver and 3 wood it isn't as big as issue""""" thats because they are longer and your posture in more upright -
1st off your bent to far over should be between 20-40 degrees (comes from clubs not properly fitted) #2 shoulder are not square should be able to see left forearm slightly #3 hands and shoulders move first not hips thats all for now
