Switch Hitting.

While reading an old Golf magazine recently I read an article that jogged my memory.Years ago I worked with this guy who was playing off scratch ( I can only dream of this) and decided the challenge wasn't there anymore and changed from a righty to one of the Devils own, lol, a lefty.He was about 50 at the time and I left the company shortly after so I don't know how he coped but does anybody else know anyone who has done this?

I don't know anyone that is a scratch golfer, and pretty much all my frineds think i'm an amazing golfer and i'm doing good to keep it under 80. I do have a good friend that is a Lefty and has played hockey sense grade school and still plays. He started golfing with me while we were in college and  he seemed to be better right handed then left. Actually he has a very natural swing and with a little work I think he could easily break 80 and potentially do better... his weakness is is his patiences, if we could get him past the point that he gets pissed off after a couple poor shots, he could be quite good either right or left handed.

I was talking about golf in general with guy in my golf league who's a lefty. I asked if he'd ever played right handed. He said he'd played as a righty for years. Then he said he tried a left handed set on a whim and scored better that first lefty round than he'd ever scored playing right handed. It was a bittersweet momemt for him. He's not scratch, but he looks very natural as a lefty.
