hi all,

any tips on how to check your shoulder alignment? i was told by my uncle today that i have MAJOR flaws with my address: feet alignment were open, shoulders were wide open, and my clubface alignment was also wide open... because everything were open, they compensate each other which results a push everytime I hit.

the clubface alignment, feet alignment can be fixed and checked when i setup more carefully... but i just dont seem to know when my shoulders are squared to the target line.. i am too used to my old one. any tips? much appreciated :)

set up to the ball and without moving, take the club and put the shaft across your shoulders, grip end towards your target. the grip will point to your target. i think you can figure it out from there, whether you are closed, open or square. ideally, everything, feet, shoulders, club face, should point down the line. good luck.

Develop a pre-shot routine. A lot of people that have aim issues will do the following:
(feet is for righties, if you are a lefty switch em up)

Put the club down behind the ball, and line the face to the target.
Place your right foot down how far you want to stand from the ball.
Place your left foot next to it (the ball should be in between your feet), and make sure that you have parrallel feet align and club face align.
Move your left foot based on where you want the ball in your stand, don't move your right foot unless its a low iron or wood.

good luck
