  1. I have both Wii Golf (part of Wii Sports) and Tiger Woods golf. Both the games are enjoyable but neither of them help me with my swing .. at all.
  2. My 5 Iron. Its the club I go to if I am having 'one of those days' and cant hit anything, even if my life depended on it.
  3. Yep. Yep. I did read it and I was pretty impressed by them as well. But what I could not ascertain was whether these clubs are made for low-handicappers or mid-high handicappers in mind. Was looking for any more input in that area ..
  4. I'd be interested in some information regarding these as well. Kinda curious how they will work for mid-high handicappers.
  5. Definitely ground my club. I am inconsistent enough as it is. Atleast by grounding it I I am 100% certain that the clubface is pointing where I want and centered as well.
  6. Amen to that. I was flipping channels yesterday when I happened to watch Lorena Ochoa swing her driver yesterday. Her backswing was so slow that I changed channels when she started it and when I came back to it a few minutes later she had just reached the top of her swing. Ok .. so maybe I am exaggerating. But I was definitely a surprised/shocked to see (or finally take notice) that a slow backswing does not really seem to make any difference on how straight or far the ball goes. Now I just need to fall into the habit of slowing down my backswing every time.
  7. Thanks guys. I'll try to focus on the tips you have given and hopefully be able to establish a good enough swing tempo to become more consistent and better with my shots.
  8. I am an average weekend golfer who wishes to become consistent and better with my golf game. I recently noticed something very curious about my backswing and was wondering if I am just over-analyzing my swing or am on to something here. I have a really quick backswing and downswing. I have to pay special attention to make sure that I do not do that to my backswing because almost everytime I do that I end up slicing the ball .. bad. Is there any explanation to this? Is this a 'plane' thing? If I focus and slow my backswing down while keeping my downswing at my same quick and normal level almost all my shots are straight. Other than the obvious of trying to focus on slowing my backswing everytime are there any drills or tips you guys may have to help me out. Thanks.
  9. I'd say 200-210 yards or so. But thats mainly because I use my 3 W (Adams Insight BUL) off the tee and am very inconsistent with my Driver (r7 460). On good hits off my driver I would say 220-230 yards.
  10. Not quite sure about hot. Attractive, good-looking .. Yes. Drop-dead gorgeous, bombshell .. No.
  11. Product Engineer for a Software company based out of Bellevue, WA.
  12. I have an Adams Insight BUL 3 Wood Driver and a Nickent 3DX 3 Ironwood. Both of them are excellent clubs. I can definitely recommend the Nickent Ironwood as a good choice for a hybrid. Adams is known to make great hybrids and their 3 Hybrid has got pretty good reviews so I dont think you can go wrong with either Nickent or Adams.
  13. I would prefer going to a range with grass opposed to mats but unfortunately do not have that option. Generally I hit about 2-3 buckets (total of about 100-110 balls) while at the range but am starting to see things the way Croaker24 does. Most of the times, the first bucket is when I focus on working on my flaws; correct my alignment, weight transfer, etc. but pretty soon I lose focus and/or get way too tired to focus. At that time I probably rush through my shots and 90% of my shots, irrespective of any club will slice like crazy. To sum it up I believe that if you go to the range with a definite goal and work on it while pacing yourself (as opposed to rushing through the buckets) it may work better.
