  1. I always avoid hitting off of mats. It would always give me a false sense of making good contact everytime. If you hit behind the ball in the grass, you chunk it. If you hit behind the ball on the mat, the club just bounces off the matt and appears to be a good strike.
  2. The divot and the ball in the cup. My one and only ace. Hole #8 at Sweetwater Golf & Country Club. Longwood, FL A couple pictures of Champion Hills. Hendersonville, NC. INCREDIBLE course!
  3. Agreed....I'm no expert, but the swaying jumped out at me.
  4. I take a practice swing next to the ball my head is parallel to the target. It helps me get more comfortable with the line that way.
  5. I'm on the north side of Orlando (Lake Mary). My favorite spots are out in Lake County.....Black Bear and Eagle Dunes. Both are always in great shape with greens that roll very nice. Both are great bang for your buck courses. I'm a twilight guy. The twilight rates at either course are around 35-40 bucks. The greens at Eagle Dunes are as good as anywhere I've played. They get to rolling VERY quick sometimes.
  6. When I start having problems with these feel shots where you aren't taking a full swing it always boils down to 2 of the most simple things. I always tell myself..... Don't decelerate. Keep your eyes on the ball, idiot.
  7. Meh.....I still say that he should be shot.
  8. Most probably already know this, but it really helped me....... Find an intermediate target when lining up for a shot. I've always had a tough time lining up at my target and just feeling uncomfortable with my setup.....especially when you have those tee boxes that don't line you up down the fairway. I heard a tip once that helped immensely. Stand behind the ball and look at your target. Find a discolored piece of grass or a leaf or something that is a foot or so in front of the ball that lines up at your target, too. When you address the ball, line up with that intermediate target instead of looking at the green or down the fairway. Many people use this for putting, too, but I don't.
  9. I think that I've got the biggest gap between my 56° and PW of anyone here. Not quite sure why. 60°- 70-75 ....Just start hitting one. Not quite sure. 56°- 85 AW- 110 ....Not sure on the degree PW- 125 9- 140 8- 150 7- 160 6- 170 5- 180 4- 190 3- 200
  10. That R7 driver is a great stick. I'm sure you'll enjoy it. I just picked up a Ping G5 a couple months ago. It was between the G5 and R7 for me. I just found a better/quicker deal on the G5, that's what I'm hitting.
  11. Same here. I use a 50 colones piece or an FSU standard marker.
